Situated in a unique location close to the historical city of Lagos, Portugal, on the cliff tops above the impressive splendour of Ponta da Piedade, a beautiful landscape of natural caves, grottos and sea arches that nature has sculpted over thousands of years, the hotel is itself a place of stunning luxury and beauty. Camillo Beach is 800 m and Mos Beach 900 m away from the hotel. There are also numerous restaurants, bars, clubs and shops in the centre of Lagos, which is about 2 km away. The nearest airport to the hotel is Faro, which is 80 km away.

Facility

The complex has 12 junior suites, 7 suites, 30 apartments, 63 single rooms and 63 double rooms, which are located on 2 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe and a minibar are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a microwave, a tea/coffee station and a dishwasher. Other amenities available include a washing machine, an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Amenities provided in the rooms include slippers and a daily paper. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

The outdoor pool complex includes a children's swimming area and is ideal for working out or just relaxing. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A sun terrace, sun loungers, and parasols are available. For guests who wish to keep active, cycling/mountain biking, tennis and golf are available. Water sports enthusiasts are offered snorkelling. Children are well looked after in the kids' club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room and a bar. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. A continental breakfast, lunch and dinner tempt guests with a wide range of dishes (lunch and dinner à la carte). Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and picnics are available. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    Honestly, I’m surprised This has so many good reviews. For the price that was very disappointed in our stay. The property is old but clean. Smell smells great, but is comfortable cleaning staff does a very good job.My concerns are the fact that they put us in a room with a bathroom mirror over the sink that was foggy and full of black marks something that should’ve been replaced forever ago, making it almost impossible to see yourself in the mirror. There are other mirrors, but this just seems like something insane to leave there for guests. We all had issues with our shower, but those were fixed within 24 hours, but nothing was offered to compensate with the fact that the temperature in the shower was either freezing or boiling hot, making it almost impossible to take one. They have an entire gluten-free section at the buffet, but overall the breakfast buffet was not great. Bacon had a weird taste every time and was almost impossible to chew. Opted out of eating the free breakfast more than once. Coffee has also just those massive Nespresso machines and not real espresso so don’t expect a great latte. Pool is very nice. access to the beach is great! Rooms need an updating like the mirror and lampshades. They’re also several spots where there was previous water damage and it almost looks like mold that should probably be better cleaned up. Overall, it’s not a horrible hotel and the location is great especially if you have a car. However, I feel like I really overpaid for what we got. I would not spend more than 230 a night if that.

    First of all, let me thank Soraia at the reception desk, who has been absolutely fantastic going above and beyond to accommodate our needs and help us change room despite a fully booked hotel. The attention given to the guests was a 5 star The hotel I has the best location possible in Lagos. It has direct access to the hiking trails and the boardwalk to look at the amazing cliffs and sunset. Location could not be any betterBreakfast is fantastic too. Everything you can dream of: sweats, cakes,, salmon, delicious fresh fruits, live cooking.. Quality of the food has been the best we experienced in our road trip in spain and Portugal. Pity the bar area is not very lively at night. The swimming pool and scenery looks lovely . Only the heated pool is really not a welcoming place, no view, no umbrella, full sun, jacuzzi out of order. Bedrooms are huge (45m2) with a very large terrace with lounge chairs.     Excellent hotel in a superb location

    This is without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The location is superb, with wonderful views and clifftop walks from the front of the hotel. Every aspect of the hotel provides a fantastic customer experience. We had a sea view room which was beautiful, with excellent soundproofing, we never heard a sound from any other rooms. Breakfast is excellent, with a huge choice of fresh and high quality food. Special mention to Rui and his colleagues on the egg station, as well as every member of the breakfast team for providing a friendly and first class service. Ana Rita on reception welcomed us to the hotel and provided excellent customer service throughout our stay - she is a credit to the hotel, always displaying a friendly, helpful and professional approach. In fact, all the reception team were excellent.     Large rooms, very clean, great service, delicious breakfast. Rooms were quiet and I didn’t hear any other guests from my room. The resort backs up to a trail that goes to the lighthouse and along the coastline to a few cool beaches. Resort is family friendly but none of the children were bothersome - I think partly because things were spread out and they made the busy areas in locations where they wasn’t a ton of echo. Ticket for 2 free drinks (wine, beer, soda) given on arrival. Good water pressure (rain style shower heads). Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion all smelled so good. 2 large bottles of water were left in our room every day that were included. Mini bar available for extra $. Restaurant was a little pricey but not any more than I’d expect for a nice resort.
