Location

This hotel is located amidst wonderful gardens in the tourist centre of Carvoeiro, just 5 min from the nearest fine sand beach of Vale Centianes. There are several shopping areas surrounding the hotel where guests may explore the different shops, boutiques, bars as well as restaurants.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 73 apartments. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the apartment hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a playroom. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car (for a fee). Rooms

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. There is a poolside snack bar as well. Leisure options at the hotel include cycling/mountain biking, basketball, table tennis, aerobics and hiking. For a fee, guests can also enjoy tennis and billiards.     Pro- comfy beds, clean towels and sheets.Cons- the apartments were tired, broken tiles, chipped and rusty bath, a bit grubby, smelled the drains in the first one we were offered.We got it as a cheap package holiday so didn’t really mind moving elsewhere after 2 nights, if we were stuck there for the whole week then it would have been grim. I suppose you get what you pay for.Should have paid attention to the previous reviews.WiFi only at bar and reception areas, hardly a phone signal anywhere else.

    We got stuck with poor weather for two days. Went off season, but they were working so hard to get things ready for summer. Was lovely and quiet and relaxed. The complete opposite to Albufeira which gets tackier every year. Carvoeiro is beautiful, small, civilised and so relaxed. Like Colina Village. Lagoa is only for the bus station. Taxi from hotel to Carvoeiro about 6 euro. Easy to walk down, hard coming back. Very near the benagil caves. People lovely, friendly and helpful. Hotel room spotless. Loved it.

    Wowcher Mystery deal. 2* at Best, Great Base Location

    Not a 3* location. Wowcher Mystery Holiday for 3 nights at the beginning of April. 2* at best.Pros: 1. Great base location for golf/exploring.2. Potential to be stunning.3. Newly painted bedrooms and living rooms.4. Pool is fine although the steps into it bit ropey. Maybe get rid of indoor pool and put in a ramp access instead of steep stairs... 5. Ice creams are amazing.6. Staff in pool area and bar are lovely.7. 99% of staff lovely.8. Pizza up the hill at the Intermarche booth in car park was amazing. 10/10. Cons:1. Cleanliness - there is a lot to be desired. 2. Standards. Kettle was disgusting. Not usable. Extractor area above cooker was basically a hole in the ceiling.3. Cockroaches.4. Ants.5. Drunk receptionist on first day of arrival at 3pm. Only member of staff who seems not to like working in hospitality.6. Cost us more in food than anticipated- some self catering items not of a standard to use. 7. Asked for extra towels, seemed a hardship.8. Bath was chipped/broken/rusty/dirty.Overall, the resort is absolutely stunning in terms of where it is and its overall look ! It has amazing potential. They look to be investing in it as well. They have painted some rooms and they are newly decorated however - that being said- I think more than a tub of paint is needed. Needs proper investment / renovations to bring back up to scratch to modern standards, as we had clear issues with damp in one room/ poorly repaired walls etc. Its a shame as it really does have the potential to be a fabulous resort. Overall we loved Portugal and would return. Our room didn't get the sun either so we struggled to get towels dry necessitating need for extra during stay.

    The Good the Bad and the Ugly

    We stayed for 10 nights from March 1st We stayed in apartment 2 near the pool.The Good = Apartments are very spacious well equipped for self catering. Cleaning of the rooms every other day although I had to request once. Restaurant food good and service. Now it goes down hill The Bad = Poor maintenance sockets hanging off the wall tv not working requested to be fixed without success reception hit and miss.The Ugly = The resort not ready for tourists when we stayed outdoor pool empty workmen repairing making a noise and no guarding around the works very dangerous.Also bins outside not emptied. Shuttle bus 3 times a day was helpful as we could not stay at the resort Would not stay again

    We stayed October 22-29th as a family of 6 with 9 more family members meeting us there. Room was a two bedroom apartment with views of the pool. Couldn’t fault the apartment as everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Pool was great size. Indoor pool was great too. Pool bar had food which was value for money. Says there’s an onsite shop but it only has one or two things in it. Get a Uber to the local supermarket which is 10 minutes away in car and about 30 minutes walk. Free bus is brilliant and runs at 10 2 and 5 which takes you down to the beautiful village. Negatives are… around the pool doesn’t get cleaned so there was rubbish left from days before. Cracked tiles and floor by pool tables and in the pool itself. Internet isn’t available in rooms and free WiFi only works in reception.
