Location

Surrounded by many pines and amidst beautiful scenery, this hotel is located in the Algarve, in the famous exclusive villa complex of Vale do Lobo and just 200 m from the nearest long sandy beach. Located close by is the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa and the Campo de Golfe San Lorenzo (5 km). The town of Almancil with its many shopping and entertainment venues is to be found just 5 km away. A diverse selection of shops, bars and restaurants are also situated in the surrounding area and it is some 20 km to the nearest airport.

Facility

The resort has 9 junior suites, 13 suites and 132 double rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by 3 lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the resort include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service (for a fee) to explore the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine. 2 conference rooms are available for lectures, presentations and meetings.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. Other amenities available include an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. Slippers are included. A hairdryer and bathrobes are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym, table tennis and billiards. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a beauty salon and a solarium. Subject to charge: massage treatments. The complex offers plenty of activities and entertainment options, including a kids' club, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including 2 restaurants, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Dinner options include a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights in May and we had a great time. We stayed in one of the premium rooms that had recently been renovated, it was lovely & had everything we needed, lots of wardrobe space etc. The outside area is lovely, lots of sun beds and never had to get up early to save a bed. The only downside is that the pool wasn’t heated so we didn’t use it at all for our holiday as it was absolutely freezing. It does say online about it being heated so I’m unsure why the hotel didn’t heat it up. All the staff were amazing and extremely friendly. They couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast has a great selection of food. We had lunch in the restaurant a few times and again it was lovely. We ended up sharing a baguette as they are really big and come with chips. Cocktails at the pool bar were also great. It’s a 1 minute walk to the beach and there are sunbeds you can lay on. There is also a beach club you can also get free access to as your in the hotel, it’s called well.There’s also a few restaurants just outside the back of the hotel by the beach, sandbanks is a nice relaxed atmosphere right on the sea. There’s also a lovely cafe on a roof top where they sell drinks and cakes which are very reasonably priced. There’s a beach bar which is also very close and really nice for an afternoon drink. There’s also a roof top bar called the roof that opens around 5/6pm which looks out to the sea which we went to a few times before dinner. A few other places we enjoyed to eat at, that are all around maximum 8 minute uber ride from the hotel:Maria’sIzzy’s BambooJulia’s Tony’s The cheeky pup (pub)Overall we had an amazing time and would recommend to family & friends. The hotel is around a 30min uber ride from the airport and about 20 minutes to Vilamoura so it’s a great location.     Puzzled….inconsistent experience

    Beautiful hotel - we have one of the renovated room and it’s spacious and well appointed, with good amenities. It was advertised that the pool is heated year round - but it’s not. It was one of the feature I looked forward to so very disappointed. The lounge bar is supposedly famous for its cocktail. It is most definitely true. But have dinner first before coming here as the food is absolutely terrible. The bluefish bites were not fresh and the chicken club sandwich has no chicken in it. The package we booked includes breakfast and it was a delight every morning looking out to the amazing vista while enjoying a hearty breakfast.     Fantastic stay

    A beautiful hotel the perfect stay. We were only here for a very short trip in between work commitments.The staff were very friendly, the hotel was extremely clean, our room was lovely over looking the golf course but we could also see the sea.The breakfast was perfect everything from fruit & Yoghurt to eggs cooked anyway, a full cooked breakfast and pastries.Bar/snack menu also great. We shall definitely return but next time for longer.
