Location

This family-friendly beach hotel is located in Albufeira, which still retains much of its ancient charm with its quaint narrow streets and traditional architecture. Located near Albufeira's renowned superb beaches of fine sand and crystal-clear waters, guests will find restaurants, shops and bars in the immediate vicinity and Quinta da Bolota bus station is around 500 away. São Rafael beach on the Atlantic coast is roughly 2 km from the apartment hotel. Faro Airport is around 35 km from the eco hotel.

Facility

152 non-smoking rooms and 103 apartments are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The apartment hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service (for a fee) to explore the surrounding area. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, mini fridge, stovetop, microwave, tea/coffee station, dishwasher and oven. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. The bathrooms have a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer is also provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The apartment hotel has family rooms and smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. A waterslide and a refreshing drink at the poolside snack bar offer the perfect way to unwind. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. The hotel offers an extensive outdoor sport and leisure programme, which includes crazy golf and golf. For a fee, guests can also enjoy cycling/mountain biking and tennis. Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. Catering options include half board, full board and all-inclusive. A continental breakfast, lunch and dinner tempt guests with a wide range of dishes (lunch and dinner à la carte). Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Fabulous resort! Amazing staff all around - that's what makes this place special. Good food. Great for families with children (especially kids up to 10 years old). Worth every euro spent.

    Great place to stay with kids

    Stayed for a week with daughter and 5-year old grandson in a two bedroom, two bathroom villa on an “all inclusive” basis. My wife and I stayed at the resort several years ago so were familiar with the layout. The Villa is now looking a little tired and would benefit from an upgrade, particularly in the bathrooms. We did have a problem with the toilet in one bathroom but this was resolved promptly after reporting. From past experience I find that buffet style food on all inclusive holidays can be repetitive and average quality. This was not the case here. There was an excellent choice of food and the quality was very good. All the restaurant staff work hard and are friendly. There is a reasonable choice of drinks on AI option, although I would have liked cider to be available as an alternative to beer. All the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good package of entertainment available throughout the day and evening. There is an astroturf football pitch and tennis court available. My grandson loved to play football there with other children on an evening. However, on three nights it was taken over by an outside business with bouncy castles and small cars. You could only gain access by paying 10 euros for 30 minutes. We did this one night but as he only wanted to play football it was really a waste of money so we didn’t use it again. I think that having it there three nights in a week was too much and it should be limited to only one or two nights so that guests can use the facility without having to pay extra for a limited time. In summary, we had a great time and would highly recommend Eden for families.     We had a great time at Eden resort. The apartment was really good, and a great size too. 2 bathrooms, both with bath and shower over bath. 2 bedrooms, great sizes, living room/ dining room and a good size kitchen, supplied with all amenities, dish washer, not washing machine though, which I didn't miss. The resort itself was really good, 3 pools, main pool, a slash zone, which was really good and an quiet one, more for adults. All staff were amazing. Animation team were brilliant with the kids, kept them entertained with lots of laughter! I would definitely stay again. Kids loved it.     We recently stayed at Eden Villas & Apartments and overall had a wonderful family holiday.The apartments were incredibly spacious, and I loved the village-style concept of the resort. It created a relaxed atmosphere and made it feel much more welcoming than a typical hotel complex.The staff were one of the highlights of our stay. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely went above and beyond. A special mention to Sonia at Guest Services, who was absolutely lovely and always happy to help.Another standout was Sonny in the restaurant. Every time we visited, he was fantastic – always on top of drinks, clearing tables promptly, and greeting guests with a smile. His friendly attitude and excellent service did not go unnoticed.I also want to give a huge shout-out to Katrina at the spa. My husband surprised me with a 100-minute body scrub, massage, and facial, and all I can say is wow. From start to finish, the experience was amazing. I have never felt so relaxed. Katrina truly has healing hands, and the treatment was one of the best spa experiences I have ever had.The entertainment team also deserve special recognition. They were absolutely fantastic throughout our stay and made a huge effort with the children. During our visit, it was my daughter's 2nd birthday, and they went above and beyond to make it memorable. They surprised her with a Portuguese cake, balloons, and a special birthday message from the turtle and ant mascots. It was such a thoughtful touch and meant so much to our family. The evening entertainment was excellent too, especially the fire show, which was epic! Our kids absolutely loved it.The complimentary shuttle bus is another great feature. The driver was excellent, and it was especially convenient for families. We travelled with a 7-month-old, 2-year-old, and 5-year-old, and they had car seats available for all ages, which was a huge plus.One thing worth mentioning for families with young children or anyone with mobility issues is the access to the beach and nearby towns. We had a double buggy, and getting around could be quite challenging due to the number of stairs. Access to Old Town involves a lot of steps down to the beach, and New Town was even more demanding, with well over 100 steps. It was a real workout and something to be aware of when planning trips out.There were, however, a few areas where improvements could be made. The apartments are starting to look a little tired and would benefit from some refurbishment. Some of the doors were showing signs of mould, and a number of the kitchen cupboards were chipped. I was also surprised that there were no USB charging ports in the rooms, which I would expect as a standard feature in a 4-star resort.My biggest disappointment was the food in the main restaurant. I didn't particularly want to mention this, but I feel it's important to be honest. While many reviews praise the food, we found it quite bland and below what we expected from a 4-star resort. In truth, I'd rate the dining experience closer to 3-star quality. The only evening we genuinely enjoyed was the Asian-themed night. During our 5-night stay, we chose to eat out on two occasions because the restaurant food just wasn't appealing enough.Despite a few shortcomings, we had a wonderful holiday thanks to the fantastic staff, spacious accommodation, excellent spa facilities, amazing entertainment team, and family-friendly amenities. With some refurbishment and improvements to the food offering, this resort could be truly exceptional.
