Location

This hotel is situated within a few minutes' walk of the city centre and the old town. The hotel's location by the promenade with the marina offers an attractive view over the hustle and bustle of the harbour. The nearest 5 kilometre-long, stretch of sand beach, Meia Praia, lies 1.5 km from the hotel and is within walking distance or easily reached with a bus or a boat. Restaurants, as well as plenty of shopping venues, bars and pubs are all within 1 km of the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 36 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom.     Amazing Boutique Hotel Near Lagos Centre

    We thoroughly enjoyed our first time stay at this hotel. The room was amazing, and well-maintained (and large). It was nice to have the balcony overlooking the marina too. You couldn’t hear any outside noises, and the cleaning staff do an amazing job. All the front staff we met were friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. Bonus was being able to check in early so we could start exploring Lagos. Because we were off season, the rate was excellent. Thank you for making our visit comfortable.

    Convenient location along the marina in Lagos with parking available in the lot next door. Our room had the marina view with a balcony and it was overall an enjoyable stay. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the Lagos center and there is also a self-service laundromat located across the parking lot. It was nice to have breakfast options available in the morning.     Lovely family run hotel

    Wonderful break at this lovely hotel. We have stayed here a few times and it never disappoints. Lovely bedrooms with great view of the marina at the front. Everywhere is spotlessly clean.Tea/coffee with kettle in bedrooms also bathrobes and slippers.All the staff are extremely helpful and the girls cleaning the rooms do a wonderful job.Breakfast offers a good choice and always looks fresh. The lady in the breakfast room constantly checks and replenishes itemsMany thanks to absolutely everyone for a lovely stay.     Going Downhill

    Have stayed in Marina Rio Hotel approx 17 times.Up to last year couldnt but praise it unfortunately it has started to go down hill. Staff still very helpfull and accomadating. Although the rooms are still comfortable and clean,new young staff leaving a lot to be desired. Breakfast also has gone down hill. Selection of pastries not as good as before. If one askes for fried egg you can only get it on a Monday or Friday otherwise you have to do with scrambled Eggs the other 5 days of week. . One small bottle of water is supplied to each room whether you are staying one night or 7I have always recommended this Hotel,but now i am having doubts Gabriele G, at Hotel Marina Rio, responded to this review We always appreciate guests taking the time to share their feedback following a recent stay with us.     Excellent Stay by the Marina

    We stayed at Hotel Marina Rio in September 2025 and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect — right by the marina and just a short walk to the old town, restaurants, and beaches. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well designed, with a great view of the marina. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the rooftop pool was a peaceful spot to unwind after sightseeing. Breakfast was tasty and fresh, though a little more variety would make it perfect. Overall, this hotel offers great value, superb service, and a relaxing atmosphere. We’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Lagos.
