  The hotel is so uniquely located, split across the marina with stunning views across the water to some beautiful local beaches. Walking distance to the beach and Praia Da Rocha. Very friendly and courteous staff members. The breakfast was outstanding... the food and the beautiful view every morning. There was no rushing to secure seats at the pool. The area was quiet and relaxing and we came home fully refreshed and recharged. Highly recommend.   Just simply incredible

  Just simply incredible.Arrival,Met by João on arrival at the resort, lovely welcome but he recognised quickly we could miss dinner, so he directed us straight to the restaurant. Following a long trip with my young family, a display of very delicious food was most welcomed. Once we dined, João booked us in and we we taken to our room.Room/suiteImmaculately clean, inside and out. The house keeping do a fantastic job. Mini bar that was reasonably prices and complementary treats on arrival. We were located at the far side of the marina, this was lovely and peaceful with another pool, the staff are very attentive, nothing was too much trouble.DiningThe food at this resort is amazing and the offer a great selection. Very high quality produce. I highly recommend a minimum of half board, ideal for those that wish to explore during the day.StaffThe staff at this resort are brilliant and so attentive. We really felt looked after and the staff go the extra mile to ensure we had the best experience. 'John' the buggy driver was amazing with my kids.If you're looking for a high quality, peaceful family escape where you will be looked after. The this is the resort you need to book.   I stayed here with family in April 2026 and, from arrival through to departure, we had a wonderful stay. The service at the hotel was exceptional and the location fantastic in Portimao. Nothing negative so I will try and give a brief overview/highlights below:-Clean, recently refreshed, great location (near beach, shops etc). Reception smells amazing!-Booked 1 bed apartment with terrace, was really spacious with great amount of storage and all of the facilities you would need to make food (we only used the kettle).-Room clean, great view and in the main building. We paid extra to have this type of apartment and worth it if you can do this.-Opted for B&B, breakfast exceeded expectations- very generous selection of hot/cold/continental breakfast and self serve tea/coffee with really good coffee machines. Lovely room/terrace/view.-Had lunch by the pool on first/last day and it was very nice. Freshly prepared and brought to your lounger if preferred. Reasonable prices for food/drinks at the pool.-Pool area very nice and huge pool. Loungers comfy and there were more than enough (we did travel at a quieter time, but there are plenty of sun beds).-Service was fantastic by all members of staff at the hotel. Special thanks to Alexis on reception who was just wonderful and gave the best service. He was friendly, professional and made our requests happen with ease.-In terms of requests, these varied from booking a cab to arranging a return airport transfer. When arriving at Faro, we used a 'normal' taxi which cost 120 Euros and took 45/50 mins. I asked Alexis if we could book the airport shuttle for return, expecting it to be a minibus. He advised it was a private transfer, could collect us when we needed and cost 105 Euros. This was better value than the local cabs and also when Alex (very lovely driver) turned up, he was in a very nice Vito (more spacious & comfortable than a cab) and he drove in a much more sedate manner (alongside being very smart and professional). No negativity towards the local cabs, just a much more pleasant return journey for less money.-We asked to extend our checkout for the last day, we were able to keep the room until 5pm which cost 70 Euros more- well worth it if you can as I find it much less stressful and not sure what other facilities are available for showering etc before leaving. Appreciate this may not be available at busier times.Overall we really enjoyed the NH Marina Hotel- great value for money and will return.   Nice hotel in a pretty location

  We stayed here while on a group tour of Portugal. Our room was a good size for Europe and had a patio with chairs. The only thing i missed was the lack of a chair in the room. The hotel is in a very pretty setting on an ocean inlet, and within easy walking distance of the beach and a long jetty with excellent views. It has a very nice pool area and the breakfast buffet at the hotel was possibly the best we've had in a Europe hotel. Our tour director mentioned to the hotel that it was our anniversary and they gave us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries (very good). There are a few restaurants/bars nearby. It was easy and inexpensive to Uber around the area.
