    Food

I was wondering whether the food and the drinks are included in the price of the vacation ? And if so is it on for all day long ?

    Fox damaged our tent

    rating05 May 2025

We stayed at Orbitur Camping in Sagres recently. The campsite is in a beautiful location with decent facilities, but we had an unfortunate experience that future campers should be aware of. A fox tried to break into our tent twice during the night and ended up causing some damage. We had been warned about foxes and followed the advice—kept all food secured and didn’t leave any waste outside—but the issue still occurred. It was quite stressful, especially with the tent damage. We would kindly suggest that the Orbitur team consider finding a more effective solution for this ongoing problem—perhaps more secure food storage options or designated “no food” zones for tents. It would help improve safety and peace of mind for guests.Overall, a lovely place, but be cautious if you’re staying in a tent.

    Disappointing

    rating24 Jun 2022

Our first impression was a poor one, the receptionist was quite brusque and short with the customer in front of us which puts you ‘on the back foot’. The site itself was an eclectic mix of tents, caravans and a surfing community which was lovely. The shower and toilet block was revolting, we can cope with the facilities needing an update, this happens, but these facilities were filthy. I tried 3 separate showers on 2 separate days to find a ‘cleanish’ shower and then struggled. The cleaner was there on both days, she moved, with cloth in one hand and phone in the other from the shower area to the washing machine area and never used the cloth at all, but chattered continuesly. My husband did see her mopping the floor 😳This is such a shame as the area is lovely and well worth a visit, the site could be lovely with better staff and management

Mixed reports noted - balanced view (hopefully)

Excellent position for our visit to nearby nude beach at Beliche 2 km away. Friendly reception staff. Not busy early May so had the pick of pitches - ours was fine with hook up.The site does show signs of ageing and the place needs some upgrading in parts. Touch of smells in the male sanitary block. The restaurant is open all day but very basic. Couvert of bread, butter, sardine pate and seconds did produce a very nice tuna pate. Mains limited to fish of the day, a chicken dish and a pork dish and a beef dish. Wine list basic. The ladies working there did so extremely hard and cheerful as dis male kitchen staff. One guy in a red baseball cap watched the cycling on TV and did nothing else - possibly the owner? Just a guess....Will we return? Probably yes because of the location, the beach and the proximity to Sagres - but not to the restaurant.Cost for a night in the motorhome for 2 people and a dog with electricity €24.50. Serious suggestion to the management - plenty of space to have a nudist/naturist/nudista section..... I am happy to advise on such matters if requested to do so. Beatriz S, Diretor de vendas at Orbitur Sagres, responded to this review Thank you for reviewing our camping. Sorry about the restaurant experience, although this is not Orbitur responsibility (it is not managed by Orbitur). Hope to hear again from you soon.

    3 weeks of peace.

If you’re willing to take the camp for what it is and enjoy the birds, peace and quiet and being left alone, then genuinely this camp is great. We made the mistake of moving off this site to a ‘busier one with more going on’, truth be told, almost everyone we met staying on this site, were nice, down to earth and happy to help if you need a hand with anything. Some of the staff are a little off (mainly grounds men).Facilities are not the cleanest with a few bugs here and there. But you will have a nice atmosphere, quiet and barely any bloody rules to follow! Enjoy the peace and quiet this place has to offer. National park is awesome and the walks around the camp is amazing. If you meet a big, big barking dog, he’s called companion and he’s soft as a teddy, please stroke his tummy! :) BOliveiraSantos, Diretor de vendas at Orbitur Sagres, responded to this review Thank you for reviewing our property. We are glad to hear from you that you enjoyed your stay with us and we’ll be looking forward to seeing you again soon.
