Location

This luxury hotel lies within metres of Vila Sol golf course just 2 km from the centre of Vilamoura where there are many shopping and entertainment venues waiting to be explored. The hotel is just 200 m from links to the public transport network and about 10 km from the nearest sandy beach to which there is a regular shuttle bus service.

Guests have a choice of 189 rooms located in two 4-storey buildings with lifts. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     A wonderful hotel from start to finish. Reception staff welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean with a nice terrace at the back. The bed was huge and we slept very well all week. A good choice at breakfast. Lunch by the pool or at the golf course was very pleasant. All the staff were friendly and efficient.The indoor pool with the sauna was a nice bonus. The outside pools were refreshing but I’m sure will be warmer as summer begins. The gardens around the hotel are beautiful and well maintained. We are looking forward to returning in September.

    Awful check in with next to no instructions on how to find our rooms within the grounds in the pitch dark. At least 20 minutes wandering around dragging luggage needlessly. The hugely disappointing Villa was a tiny twin barely big enough for two adults and golf clubs. Decor, fixtures and fittings are all dated and tired. The bar and in particular the service was just awful. incredibly slow service, an incompetent barman who couldn't keep track of the drinks he had served you, Fawlty Towers stuff.The one bright spot was the Breakfast.The Golf Course was in great condition; the driving range was just terrible. If you were lucky and they had managed to collect the balls from off the range from the previous day, you found yourself hitting the same tired balls that you were hitting 20 years ago.

    I typically don’t write reviews, but our experience at Pestana Hotel in Vilamoura was so appalling that I feel compelled to share it to prevent others from facing the same issues.From the moment we arrived, the service was shockingly poor. Our hotel room was flooded one evening with sewage water, and when we reported this, we were met with indifference. We were told that no maintenance staff could assist us and that we should just "deal with it." This was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable, that evening we finally got a temporary room after 15+ calls to reception.Despite our numerous attempts to reach out to management, we received no response constantly told there was no management on site. Eventually, after much persistence, we were moved to another room, but we had to handle the move ourselves, contrary to the promises made to us about receiving assistance. To add insult to injury, we had to chase the cleaning staff daily to ensure our room was cleaned. The lack of management oversight and the rude attitude of the reception staff made our stay even more unpleasant.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The combination of neglectful service, poor room conditions, and unprofessional staff has left a lasting negative impression. I cannot recommend Pestana Hotel in Vilamoura to anyone looking for a pleasant stay. Save your money and find a place that values its guests!

    Run down and in need of investment

    Tired hotel and facilities. Golf course and facilities are in need of investment. Driving range was closed for two days of our trip. Hotel showing signs of wear and tear in common areas and bedrooms. Also in need of investment.Not far from airport and Vilamoura. Handy having all facilities on the one site. This could be a lovely place with some investment in the hotel and golf facilities.

    We were recommended to stay here by some friends and it was perfect for us. The room we had was seperate to the main building and had a lovely private terrace. The room was spotless and had lovely decor, the bed was massive and very comfortable and as a result we slept really well. The staff we met were all really nice and friendly, from check in to the bar man and the breakfast team. Also breakfast was nice and relaxed with loads of choice from fruit to cheeses, meats, cooked options, fresh pancakes and plenty of other things too. It’s set in a nice area with gardens a big pool and a golf course next door. I’d definitely recommend
