  Do not go!!

  I don’t know where to start, this is a definite no go! The room smelled stain the fitting were from the 60s , the restaurant had no supplies of anything really! The noise from other rooms was keeping us awake every night, the pool was dirty and lots of tiles were missing, the linen was changed the day before we flew home, the bathroom was dirty and the ceiling was falling away, the plugs didn’t fit the plug holes, we were informed by a taxi driver the day before we returned home the hotel housed migrants and homeless! Need I say anymore!

  Decent meal, ok value, service friendly. But all a little unusual.

  This review is for their in house restaurant only. We didn’t stay here.Idiosyncratic would be the kindest way to describe this restaurant. The waiter gave us the menu and said he wasn’t sure what items were off the menu, so could we select and he would let us know! Chicken Piri Piri was off, much to our surprise, but apart from that all was OK. All quite interesting but maybe a feature of visiting in September. There was only one other couple eating at the same time. Service was OK as was the food. I chose grilled fish of the day, which was very good. Drinks were reasonably priced and food was about average in price.All a bit strange but OK overall.

  Never Again

  Firstly let me say the only good thing about these apartments were Patrica and Lilly on reception.the day before we were due to travel we received a message stating we would have to pay €200 security deposit,we thought ok we wont be wrecking the place.We arranged for an early check in as our flight was landing at 830 am,we took a taxi from Faro ,the driver could not find the place at first but we got there anyway.At reception we checked in and paid the deposit and were shown to our studio Never in all my travels have I seen worse the place was in bad state,myself and my wife discussed it and went to reception to complain and see if we could be moved,Patrica found us a one bed apartment for which we had to pay an extra €175 for the upgrade,the first room were shown to was smelly and did not appear to have been aired for a while.We took the second room it was brighter and more spacious than the studio,we agreed to take it,on closer inspection we found it in a poor state of repair,trims hanging off press doors bathroom door was in need of changing and lots of other stuff needed doing.That evening the shower flooded the bathroom maintenance man arrived and sorted it,they said it was only a new shower tray.Next day I spoke to Lilly at reception and made all my complaints known eventually it was agreed to refund the€175 for the upgrade.On the Friday (day 3 of our week) we were asked if we wanted to go to another of the groups apartments,having lost so much time we decided to stay put.to be honest there were so many things wrong,some of the towels were badly stained,the pool never looked clean and was turning green,cleaner came to clean it but to be honest he didnt do a good job.No linen change for the week and you had to bring out your own rubbish,It was a good 40 minute walk to the Marina and a little further to the beach.We were in contact with Loveholidays while we were there but to be honest we did not get much satisfaction from them.Needless to say we wont be going back

  Lovely clean apartments staff great nice size studio with flat screen tv plenty of chanels great air con pool area lovely staff nice quiet area with spar near by food in resturant excellent only downside could do with more towels and toilet paper only changed once per week

  Where do I start. Before I arrived in Portugal I phoned Rio apartments and asked for a late check out of which we agreed €30 euros which I didn’t think was that bad as would of given us the apartment for an extra 7 hours. They did say we could leave our bags in reception when we check out but there is no where to leave them as reception is mainly closed. When we arrived we were told this isn’t possible once the receptionist actually turned up. We had to phone them and ask where their staff was. They are supposed to be there till 1230 and this was 1145 so they don’t keep to their times advertised. The restaurant is by different people and they kept running out of things like coke cider and even beer. And the resort wasn’t busy. I have stayed here before and came back as the service was ok but this time has totally put me off and not sure I willCome back.
