Location

This complex is located directly in Areias de Sao Joao, in Albufeira. Its inviting atmosphere is ideal for a restorative family holiday under the Algarve sun. A bus service runs twice daily from the hotel to the beach, except at the weekends. Links to the public transport network lie about 200 m away. Shopping facilities, restaurants, bars and pubs are located within around 300 m away and the nearest nightclub is around 600 m from the complex. The beach can be reached within 1 km.

Facility

74 apartments are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance and a laundry service. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed.     Just had a week at Tropical Sol and was extremely satisfied with the hotel. Having read the reviews I was a bit sceptical. The hotel is in my opinion, ideal . Very clean with friendly staff throughout. The rooms are slightly dated but large and clean. The pool area is great with plenty of sunbeds. No need to worry about getting one. The breakfast is excellent with a large choice. No complaints from me👍

    It was in a good Location to the New Town The Strip and there is a little blue train that takes you to Old Town or you can get a Taxi.Friendly Staff very helpfulOur Appartment was AmAzing in frount of their Pool.The Appartment was spacius big Clean.The Cleaners came every day to give the Appartments a very good clean empty the rubish, made our Bed etc.4 or 5th Day of our Stay the Cleaners changed our bed with clean fresh bedding.It had 2 tv in the Appartments on in the living room and sperate bedroom.The Appartment was modern with all the mod cons nice little kitchen fridge etc.Out side our Appartment opposite the pool were two Sunbeds, table and 2 Chairs private.The Lady was very friendly nice that worked in the Drinks Snack food bar too as well as Reception Staff very friendly helpfull .I would defintley Stay here again if i was to come back to Alberferia xxNice Apmosphere

    Our fourth visit to Tropical Sol in March 2026. Quiet location, excellent friendly staff, beautiful clean rooms, supermarkets and restaurants very close. Will be returning again next year. Thanks all the staff for looking after us specially at Reception.

    Brilliant stay staff so friendly. Snack bar family so helpful, we got takeaway sandwiches for the airport absolutely beautiful and fresh . We definitely will be back.

    The Tropical Sol is our go to hotel. We wanted a bit of winter sun. There was a little maintenance work going on but not once did it spoil our experience here. Staff from Reception Paulo Marisa Maria always greet you with a smile to ground staff to cleaners always smiling and happy to see you. Rooms well stocked with equipment, really good hot powerful shower. Every time we come it makes us want to come back even more. Exceptional service here all the time. Hotel very well situated for old town shopping and beach. See you in May Tropical Sol.
