Slightly bizarre Moorish themed decor in ugly sixties block sited quite a long way from anywhere. It was functional in the extreme but we were not looking for luxury so it worked for us just fine. Breakfast was not very exciting I am afraid. The pool area was not at all inviting - rather windswept and lacking in shelter/cover. It worked as a pied-a-terre because we were walking and just needed a place to rest our heads. We would never actively choose to stay at such a place. I think our travel company booked us in there because accommodation in Aljezur or at the beach was full.

This Hotel looks like a 60's building with some charme to it. There are no more than 30 rooms , perhaps less. So the atmosphere seems to be relaxed and familiar. My room was straightforward, yet with all the necessary amenities. The room was spacious and had some character to it. Spotless clean. Comfortable bathroom and bed. The Hotel is located at the entrance of a area with holiday villas, scattered along various hectares of land belonging to a Natural Park. Two Restaurants are available at a walking distance, and also one Supermarket. The closest beach is about 5 minutes by car (Monte Clárigo) . A few minutes more and you get the the also famous Amoreira Beach. Arrifana Beach is about 15 minutes away from the hotel by car. There is an outside big swimming pool with social area around it. The Aljezur village is around 7 kms away. Breakfast was good, perhaps the best scrambled eggs I have had.

We found this hotel to be quite tacky décor-wise. I gather they wanted to keep it somewhat Moorish, but felt it was overdone. Reception was quite abrupt. Rooms were small but clean with a small balcony. Unfortunately, they gave us a room right at the top of the stairs, it was noisy and we could hear everyone arriving and leaving via the staircase. Breakfast was reasonably adequate. Swimming pool was closed this time of year. A couple of restaurants nearby.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during our organised walking holiday in Portugal. This small hotel is very stylish and comfortable with a lovely pool. We ate dinner here on our first night and it was delicious. Breakfasts were excellent too.
