This hotel is situated on the road to Albufeira, only 800 m from the superb sandy beach Praia de Luisa. The centre of Albufeira is about 3 km from the hotel and there are many shops and entertainment venues to be found here. Bus services depart from stops in the immediate vicinity.

Facility

The hotel has 2 suites and 73 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected.     Reviews were really good and so far mine will be!. Classic room last minute booking .spotless , comfy beds and pillows .breakfast plentiful ..hot and cold and usual continental fare taken on terrace ..lovely. Pool area small but surrounded by lush trees ..bar..snacks.loved it Staff ..discreet and polite and pkeadantt Lady behind the bar 31st and 1st June. Date of this review..knowledgeable and makes the best Mojitos .. we heard her advising guests regarding wine and cheeses of the area.knows her stuff.Would reccomend this hotel.

    Great Hotel , delightful staff in good central location in old town

    Recently returned from a mid week break at the Velamar hotel. Good location to access a few beaches, some good local restaurants and bars in walking distance. Many hoyel positives including :- very friendly and personable staff 😊 breakfast plentyful and a good selection, lovely big comfy beds , quite by night, adults only when we were there , clean and well maintained. Downside was the pool very small and uninviting for a swimming , popped to Albufeira for the day nice to see but far to busy for us to consider staying there ! all in all weather's had a fab mini break and would recommend the hotel especially for the friendliness and helpful ways of the staff.

    Friendly, pleasant and very obliging staff! Breakfast is extremely good with plenty of hot and cold choices set on the third floor with a terrace for alfresco eating and views over Olhas de Agua and the sea. Loved the fresh orange juice machine and the coffee machine. Rooms spacious, with everything you need. Set in a quieter part of the Algarve. I would return, thank you Velamar!

    This was our second visit to the Velamar its a lovely hotel in a quieter part of the Algarve, a short taxi ride away from Albufeira. The welcome is really nice all the staff are friendly and approachable. The rooms are great, massive bed , very spacious and clean and basic supplies tea, coffee, shampoo etc are provided. The breakfasts are lovely with plenty choice to set you up for the day and there is the option of tapas or light meals later in the day to purchase from the bar. The tapas is great and a couple each will be more than enough for a main meal. I was more than a little surprised when I received a cake and a bottle of fizz on my birthday too. A lovely personal touch. Thank you Velamar we really enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.

    The hotel was excellent with a good atmosphere. The rooms were well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with an excellent choice.ALL the staff were amazing with special mention to Filipa and Antonio, who were very attentive and professional.Will definitely be returning to this lovely Hotel.
