Location

The coastline to the east of Praia do Carvoeiro is truly one of the Algarve's best-kept secrets. The hotel is located within this idyllic setting, on the cliff of Albandeira beach, less than 50 min from Faro airport. 10 min away by car in Carvoeiro, guests will find bars and clubs. Restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity.

Facility

50 suites are available to guests in a 2-storey main building and 8 auxiliary buildings. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the resort include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Film fans will find plenty of 'lights, camera, action' at the cinema. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a childcare service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service and a laundry service. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service (for a fee) to explore the surrounding area. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, tea/coffee station, dishwasher and oven. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a CD player, a DVD player and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. The bathrooms have a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The resort has family rooms and 50 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy on-site golf. For a fee, horse riding is also available. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym and billiards. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath and a hammam and, for an additional fee, a spa, massage treatments and anti-ageing treatments. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room and a bar. The restaurant has air conditioning and high chairs for children. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The complex also offers special catering options. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Excellent location, rooms are spacious and place has wonderful potential but resort is extremely poorly run. Feels like it is a place being run on a shoestring and for sale.As examples - AC in gym broken, bins throughout resort overflowing with rubbish and not emptied regularly, shower to clean off beach sand broken. Restaurants and bar closed on 1 April despite website and in-room info saying they would be open. No water available for children at resort. Had to drive 10 mins away to shop. Nobody working at Spa so it was overrun with toddlers and filthy. Towels were taken from room by cleaners to be changed but never replaced. Reception didn't answer the phone when we called to ask for new ones. No staff ever said 'good morning' or 'hello' or asked about the stay. Extremely unwelcome feel. Rude cleaners and breakfast staff. Rooms have a kitchen but it only had 3 forks and 3 plates and 2 glasses for 4 people and no cleaning products. Room has 3 TVs but they only have Portuguese TV even though the client base is primarily international. Pool towel deposit is 25eur per towelGot a call from management claiming I had two children who were older than I had booked for and that I owed Eur360 extra. Spent over an hour and a half showing them the booking process on their own website I had used and that I hadn't been asked for DOB of the children. No apologies received. No management intervened or were present around resort. Manager hid in his office instead. Only positive was girl working at reception who was polite and helpful!This place is a 3 star at best. Very, very disappointed.

    Recently had a 3 night stay for a wedding and couldn’t recommend this place enough. The room was great (apartment for 4) and was spotless. Very laid back vibe with an absolutely beautiful setting. Food was great and the staff very friendly and attentive. The wedding itself was perfect and perfectly organised. Such a beautiful place for a chilled and relaxed holiday. Definitely a place to unwind. Highly recommended.

    The location is amazing, it is so beautiful and close to so much . The atmosphere was very relaxing and fun. Rooms are in pretty good shape and clean. They have blackout shutters that were amazing. The service we received from the kitchen, bar, wait and housekeeping staff was amazing. Special thanks to Nata and Inacio as they were the best! So accommodating, helpful and friendly. We were there for my nieces wedding and it was a beautiful event thanks to the staff involved.

    The resort provides great apartment with a lot of space. Rooms are very comfortable, excellent services fro The staff. The front desk is very helpful and nice. The beach next to the property is stunning. They have a nice pool with great view as well. The only downside is you will need a car or uber to go anywhere. The closest village is 15 mins drive away. The style of the resort is more like a timeshare than a true resort. It’s quiet and beautiful. I think it’s perfect for family stays, for people who like a lot of activities, you will need a car to get around.
