Location

This beach hotel lies on a slope in Vale da Azinhaga. Various shopping venues, bars and restaurants are to be found in the vicinity (100 m), and links to the public transport lie within walking distance (200 m). The beach lies some 300 m from the hotel and Faro Airport is 60 km away.

Facility

The apartment hotel has a lift and features 150 apartments. The reception desk is open round the clock. A safe, a currency exchange service, a TV room, a playroom and room service are available. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service (for a fee). Bicycle storage is also available.

    My husband and I stayed here during a group trip to Greece. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the location was beautiful. It was a bit chilly for the pool, but I really enjoyed our stay.

    Our stay at Amalia was fantastic. This is a great hotel with the most friendly and supportive staff, good food, clean, and welcoming. The pool is very much a bonus, particularly after our amazing activities exploring the Meteora. Being just outside Kalambaka and 15 mins from Trikala the location is ideal. Thank you to the whole team at Amalia; we are already planning our next trip !

    Hotel is clean and spacious. Nice pool and bar area. This hotel is used for buses of tourists with a buffet dinner and breakfast for them. There is nothing close by - certainly nothing within walking distance. The bedroom was clean and large. Bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. The bathroom was large. All in all - worked out great as we were on one of those bus tours!

    Beautiful garden setting doesn’t compensate for bad food and distance from town

    A really beautiful hotel unfortunately to far out of town to enjoy the local fare. Also seems set up for tour groups so food is mediocre and more like a school camp. Good sized rooms, toilet paper bin, excellent pool area and tiny tv. Pool is next to smoking area so smell spoilt our swim on a scorchingly hot day.

    We stayed in March, part of an overnight organised excursion to Delphi and Meteora on a coach. Described as 4 star, I’d say it’s a 3 star, comfortable bedrooms with en suite, selection of shower products and mixed evening buffet and breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff and extremely convenient for visiting area. Solo travellers may get slightly overwhelmed by large groups, but the hotel is geared for this and has very large foyer area. Air conditioning wasn’t working and were told that it only works to heat the room. Worth checking if this is true for summer!
