New smelling/looking hotel with a great breakfast and a convenient location 9/10

    rating20 Feb 2026

We stayed at this Hampton on the first week of February when we visited our daughter and her family in Georgetown, Texas. The wife booked our room and made sure we had a good rate. Overall, the hotel itself smells and looks brand-new, so that was a big plus. It felt like I was the first one to use the equipment in the gymnasium. The wife briefly dipped her feet in the pool, although it was too breezy and cool to go for an actual swim. The only negative was that the pool is outdoors, which makes it uncomfortable during the cool months. I wish the pool had been inside the building. Despite that, the pool was clean and well-maintained. The best part about our stay was the hot breakfast, which was a huge step above the continental breakfasts you find at other hotels. The eggs and potatoes were as good or better than what you'd find at Denny's or Ihop. I appreciated having the options for coffee and teas. I never tried the waffles, although the wife said they were pretty good. Our room was clean and quiet. We didn't have any problems with road noise because the hotel is built in a valley where it's shielded from the highway traffic. It was nice having a bigger room with a king size bed. The wife mostly sat on the couch, and I mostly used the desk and office chair because it's more firm on my back. The breakfast lady was very attentive to our needs. The receptionists at the front desk were polite and friendly. Last time we visited our family, we stayed at the Sheraton and it didn't seem quite as warm and friendly. I'd say that Hampton is the nicest hotel in Georgetown for it's price range. I would rate Hampton a 9/10.

I stayed at the Hampton inn hotel in Georgetown with my family. I liked the peace and quiet and the gymnasium was above average.

Classy new hotel in the heart of Georgetown and close to the downtown square

I was going to stay at the Home2, but they were booked up this time around. I ended up staying at Hampton Inn and liked it just as much. The Hampton Inn is more spacious and has a wider variety at breakfast. The location is in walking distance to a couple restaurants in the parking lot. I chose to walk down the road to Applebees on my 2nd night. Although my boss paid for my room, the price was fair because they had an awesome gym and a pool. The building itself looks and smells to be very new. It's a classy vibe where they have plenty of seating in the public area to relax as classical music plays in the background. Only thing missing was the grey poupon! 😂

    Standard Hampton Experience

    rating01 Sept 2025

This was a typical Hampton Inn property that felt newer, was clean and had a solid breakfast. My only complaint was that I requested a digital key multiple times from front desk staff and nobody could figure out how to make it happen, instead blaming it on the app.

    Terrible customer service

    rating05 Jul 2025

Asked for a late check out the night before leaving and was told by front desk that they couldn’t. They said there would be someone I could ask the next morning. I had 2 rooms for 3 nights and the next morning I asked in chat if we could get one late check out on one of the rooms so my kids that have been here all weekend playing sports could take a shower before we fly home. Nobody answered the chat for 30 minutes so I called the hotel 5 minutes before check out time (we took our bags the last time we left the hotel just in case). I was again told there would be no late check out due to manager policy. I called the Diamond number to inquire about this and they called the hotel. Confirmed that there was room availability to accommodate a 1 room late check out but could not get the front desk to authorize it due to manager policy. Manager was unable to be contacted to clear this up. Sorry in advance for anyone that has to be around my stinky sports kids today. Thank this hotel and its manager. Of course I could only digitally check out of one room and when I called to check out of the other, the lady at the front desk said I was good to go. I asked her to let her manager know that I have filed a complaint and she said she most definitely will. When I tried to thank her for her help and explain I knew it wasn’t her fault she told me she didn’t appreciate me being disrespectful to her and hung up on me. The irony in that
Coming back here for more sports in March and will NOT be staying at this hotel.
