    Have recently returned from yet another visit to this great hotel.There have been a few changes with regards to restaurant and menu and on the whole I feel they have improved the experience the new menu for Half Board is very good and plenty of choice and as always the food is of an excellent standard and quality,there have also been some changes around the breakfast most of which are good and fit in with the layout and ambience of the restaurant but I have to say that I feel the large eye sore of a fresh orange juice machine I feel lowers the standard that this 4 star hotel has I mean it is something you would find in a supermarket and feel it takes up valuable space that could be better utilised if it has to be there maybe in a corner so it does not affect the flow of the restaurant.I am not naive or stupid enough to think my comments will have any impact but felt it has to be mentioned.There is now an pool table at one side of the bar which is ok as it is not too large and therefore not taking up too much room but an electronic heart board squeezed in as well not too sure.But back to all things positive which is what it has always been on my numerous visits each year to this hotel and that is thanks again to the girls on reception Liliana and Pilar always friendly polite and helpful,also thanks to Michele for her friendly manner at breakfast.Finally once again thanks to Tiago for his excellent efficient professional and of course friendly service in running the restaurant and bar area soon well.Hope to see you all again soon Miguel Afonso dos Santos, General Manager at Vilamoura Garden Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your continued loyalty and for sharing such a detailed review following your recent stay with us.     Wonderful Hotel and Staff

    2nd time we have stayed here and absolutely loved it. Hotel about a mile outside marina which is ideal and there is a shuttle bus provided about 6 times a day into town.The staff are excellent and so friendly and the breakfasts were awesome with loads of choices and variation.The pool is small but perfect size.     My wife and I recently returned from our second visit to the Vilamoura Garden hotel for weeks rest with golf. No complaints whatsoever about this small boutique hotel. It is very well situated for all local amenities and many excellent golf courses. We enjoyed it 12 months ago we quickly rebooked another golf week this last October. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend in particular to golfers.However on my return the travel company I use informed me that hotel prices and golf costs are going up and up ( in respect of ourselves £400 in the last year).A word of warning to Portugal, be aware you may price yourselves out of the U.K. market. It has made us rethink our future travel plans.     Just returned from this wonderful small hotel which is situated in a quiet relaxed area, just 30 minutes stroll to vilamoura marina and beach. There is also a free shuttle bus from the Hilton sister hotel if you don't fancy the walk. We also used uber taxi's which are really cheap. The first thing we noticed was how friendly all the staff are. The rooms are good size with very comfortable beds, cleaned daily & spotlessly clean. The shower over the bath was very powerful with no shortage of hot water. The toiletries shower gel, shampoo/ conditioner & hand wash was gorgeous. We stayed on half board basis and I'm so glad we did, the breakfast was buffet style and offered continental also cooked breakfasts with eggs cooked on request. The evening 3 course meal was waiter served at your table offering a choice of 2 starters 3 main & 2 deserts, the food was outstanding, good variety over 6 nights. 5 stars to the chief and staff in the restaurant just amazing. The pool is very small so not ideal for swimming but nice for a dip to cool down. I will be returning to the little gem of a hotel next year.     A lovely hotel in a quiet spot yet only 20 mins walk into town and the marina. We had a pool view room which was spacious and well equipped. Bathrooms are large with a excellent shower, robes, plump towels and toiletries. The bed was large and very comfortable. Air conditioning was silent and effective. Hotel is kept spotlessly clean. We were on half board and the food was delicious and well presented. Service was first class. The only downside was the lack of choice, 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts each night. However you can use the €25 per person allowance towards the a la carte or at lunchtimes. The pool area is fairly small and the pool itself with little chance of a lengthy swim! However it was heaven to cool off in with temperatures 30 degrees plus most days. The staff in the hotel are excellent. Special mention to Liliana and Ines on reception and Tiago and John Herbert in the restaurant who looked after us superbly at mealtimes. Would definitely revisit.
