We had a late check in and realized when we were going to sleep that the air conditioning was not working.We asked the front desk to check and tried it himself and acknowledged that it was not working.We asked for another room or a portable air conditioner/portable fan, but he said that the rooms were full and he did not have a portable air conditioner/portable fan. Since it was already late, we did not have any other option but to try to sleep in this hotel only.We checked with the front desk (new person) in the morning, and they mentioned that they have portable air conditioner/portable fans, which makes it even more disturbing that it was not just a technical issue but a customer service issue.

Good value stay. The room was spacious and very clean although it felt a little basic and dated. The bed was large and comfy. The whole hotel was very clean and we saw several cleaners throughout our stay. The breakfast was ok - it was continental style and there was a decent amount of choice including breads, pastries, fruit, yoghurt etc The pool is large with plenty of sun beds. Shame there’s no balcony or fridge in the room. The location is great. A 10 minute walk to the beach/one end of the promenade. If you turn right you can walk all the way along the promenade through Quarteira and on to Vilamoura. If you turn left you can walk along the beach to Vale do Lobo which was a lovely walk. It’s also really cheap and easy to get Ubers. You can pay to hire pool towels (€2 per towel for 24 hours) and you also have to pay city tax upon arrival. We stayed for 2 nights and the hotel was ideal for us but I’m not sure I would want to stay for a week without a balcony or more amenities. Would recommend for a good value basic stay.

Great value hotel close to the beach

Great value hotel. Spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms, quiet with a nice pool. It’s only about ten minutes walk to the beach and four euros in an Uber to the Marina. Good coffee at breakfast, very limited choice for breakfast but what they had was good quality. Downsides for me were no kettle in the room and no balcony.

Situated outside of town, but an Uber is only e4. Very welcoming staff and extremely helpfull. My room is very comfortable and clean with a nice view of the pool. Breakfast is continental and very tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel for a nice relaxing holiday.

Very good hotel &staff, last year they posted my apple watch back to me id left behind, i went back again this year.The breakfast buffet is very good vallue with good quality products, the whole hotel is very clean. such a peacefull and nice place, Thanks a lot Hotel Zodiaco
