    Hotel looks new and nice, but the washroom in my room smelled very bad.

    The Hotel Teresinha must've been recently renovated and looks quite new. The environment is quiet, but not too far from the beach and town square. The room is of good size, with modern decor and furnishing. The included breakfast is good and has choices of hot items, bakery and cereal. Even though the renovation is new, but it employed not the best options for the real users. The shower stall has only half glass cover without a door (very common in Europe), plus a clogging drainage resulting of water overflowing to the rest of the washroom. Somehow my room had a very unforgiving odor smelling terrible coming from the washroom. The lamps on the night tables have long tripod type of legs, which use the whole night table surface and always fall off the table. Apparently, the onsite parking is quite limited, but it would not be too difficult to find a street parking spot I guess.

    I booked this hotel when my flight to Ponta Delgada got cancelled. It is only 2 miles to airport. It is a 3 star hotel but just perfect for a layover. The woman at the front desk was especially kind as I was ill and could walk to a restaurant. She brought me some fruit and and orange juice which was perfect. Rooms were clean and bedding comfortable too.

    Nice and quiet hotel. Everything was clean! Friendly stuff. AC was working well. Breakfast a little poor. Pool looked nice - no time to use it. Hotel didn´t have an elevator - but some stairs - if your luggage is really heavy it´s hard to carry it it up to the second level.

    Long story short- there are nicer and more accommodating hotels in the area. Do not recommend—however if you decide to stay with them—-request a room in new building or renovated section of main building. If you have mobility/handicap issues there is NO elevator with lots of stairs.

    Uncomfortable bed and pillow snd dirty room

    The room was not very clean with dead cockroaches in the carpet . Other reviewers had said the bed very hard and uncomfortable. I can confirm that and the pillows too high . After spending a few hours layover I have back and neck pain . I should had followed the others yo avoid it . However, one consolation is the proximity to the airport a 5m ride . As my layover was too short I did not have much luxury of choices . The staffs ok to offset the room condition .But do avoid it if you can
