    We would stay there again

    rating27 Jul 2025

We loved the views from our balcony. The kitchen had nothing to cook with apart from a microwave, toaster and jug. Nice big fridge and cutlery. Good size room and comfy bed. Bathroom was dated but was clean and worked. Air conditioning filter hadn’t been cleaned in years and luckily didn’t need to use it. Overall great location close to restaurants, pubs and sailing club, good price and friendly staff. Not recommended for elderly or disabled due to steps and hill (no lift).

Great people but badly needs complete updating.

Terribly tired rooms - step back 40 years, no bedheads, and no Wifi in the room. Bathroom badly outdated, even a canister light on the ceiling and shower in the bath. Time for a serious refresh and reinvest some of that income. But staff were great. Pool a little busy with functions

    Fabulous 2 night stay!

What an amazing place! Good value for money, well placed close to town , beach and marina. Facilities in our studio first class, beautiful fixtures & fittings, comfortable bed, aircon, nice kitchen & bathroom and two lovely pools. And THE VIEW ! All rooms and studios overlook the beach and marina. Incredible 😍 Whitsunday Terraces, General Manager at Whitsunday Terraces Resort, responded to this review Hi Jane So great to hear you enjoyed your stay with us!!We feel very lucky to not only live here in the Whitsundays but have the amazing views we have here - the next best thing to having them is to share them..Hope to welcome you back at another time.Michele

Luxury prices for a (disappointing) mid-range experience

    rating02 Jan 2025

Summary: disappointing. Firstly, don't come here for peace and tranquillity. The loud, raucous bar next to the main pool will kill that possibility from noon till night, 4/7 days. For the other 3, there's no food or drinks service on-site - not even a vending machine. Shop ahead or be ready to plod up and down the steep street into town in hot, humid weather. There are two pools - medium and small. They represent the best part of the hotel but both lack sufficient shade and the smaller one has very little furniture (see photo) - arrive early to ensure a spot at either. There are no lounge or chair cushions anywhere (how cheap?) meaning you won't stay comfortable for very long. Perhaps that's the intention...The only (erratic) wi-fi is at or close to reception - a long walk and stair climb away from most rooms. This will be a serious inconvenience to anyone seeking ongoing, reliable connectivity (everyone?). Rooms are light and spacious with great views, but are under-equipped for self-catering (see photo of cooking utensils). If you need more toilet paper than your ration, you have to buy these at reception! As a gay man, I don't see this as an LGBTIQA+ friendly venue. My husband and I felt intimidated whilst using the main pool due to hostile staring from local straight men at the adjacent bar who had been drinking solidly. The bar (at the centre of the resort) is run independently as much for the benefit of locals as residents. Most properties in Airlie Beach have excellent views, many with better facilities and/or at more competitive prices (I paid well over $,2000/p.w. for average facilities here). Shop around - you can do better than Whitsunday Terraces 'Resort'.

This is better than just a hotel room . Great views from every where.

Perfect place to stay .A little older but wonderful prices with great views and walk to shops and restaurants. Onsite bar and good restaurant with reasonable prices . Best Oysters I have had for a while . Manager was delightful and very helpful . I loved having a fridge and mini kitchen and a bit of room . We had a 1 bedroom suite.
