Location

This is the closest of Puerto Rico's hotels and tourism attractions to the towns of Mayagüez and Aguadilla. The resort is located by Almirante Beach on the western coast of Puerto Rico, near the sleepy town of Rincón, where surfers enjoy world-class surfing.

Facility

Units include 112 non-smoking rooms located in a 4-storey main building and 3 auxiliary buildings. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Services include a laundry service. Complimentary newspapers are available. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most units include a balcony with sea views, where guests can relax and linger a while. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-accessible rooms can also be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis, golf and fishing are available. A wide range of sports are available, including water sports such as windsurfing, kayaking and diving or, for a fee, snorkelling. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym and table tennis. A wellness area with a spa is available to guests. For a fee, massage treatments are also offered.

Meals

Dining facilities include a breakfast room and a bar. A cosy atmosphere and delicious food await guests in 2 non-smoking restaurants (high chairs are available). Catering options include half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. The menu also offers diet meals and children's meals. The resort also offers special catering options. The complex offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    So many years ago, was the best. Now just another one.

    A beautiful botanical garden, but I wanted a full service hotel, not an hotel with just gardens. For the photos is good. Snacks after 8 pm, take your car and get a fast food. Beer, find a place nearby. All at risk in a very dark road. Employees, excellent. They just worked with what they have. Like in the past, I heard was one of the best, I'll be back when I heard that they fixed their issues. For now, never more. Oh, I'm puertorrican. I don't want to disgrace my island tourism. Just I don't want any foreign tourist to have a bad experience. I support my island but, I'm sorry. You have to fix some things.

    I had an amazing time! Israel was n amazing friend which me a great advice where to go an get some goodie’s!! He was very friendly and helpful. Overall the entire experience and staff was great! The bar should be open later than 12:00 pm! Otherwise not complaint at all!! Cleaned room and relaxing area. I am coming back to the same place. Love you guys. Gracias Israel.

    Clean the beach

    The property is still beautiful, we have stayed here prior to hurricane Maria. The beds are comfortable, staff is friendly, my issue is the very small beach they have left is dirty, and not kept up, you can’t swim because of the rocks at the shore line. I think for the guests that want to use the SMALL beach that is left, it needs some TLC. Not all guests want to use the pool, so, I hope in the future, we can go bs k and enjoy the BEACH! Overall nice stay.

    Room Ready BUT Early Checkin Charge

    First, great bar staff at the swim up bar and housekeeping staff very friendly. However, I have traveled worldwide for work and NEVER arrived at a hotel early to be told that your room is ready but checkin is at 4pm and I can’t give it to you before 2:30pm or it will be an $81 early checkin charge. Also, front desk lady said we could use pool early BUT did not tell us she had towels and had to go back after we got seats! Beautiful beach views!     The good and the tired-a sleepy sort of paradise

    Lightly staffed, short on service personnel and very few guests, which is fantastic for a quiet getaway where you feel like you have your own private property. The rooms are reminiscent of Bahia Mar in the early 80’s. Sparely decorated and sparse. We upgraded from ocean view, a slice of the ocean through the palm trees to full on room overlooking the pool. Well worth the upgrade. The view of the ocean is amazing. Comes complete with a heart shaped jacuzzi tub that likely will not be used. Also a large walk in closet. Updates needed: the bathroom light in the middle of the ceiling leaked when it rained, wouldn’t lean on the porch rails that are rusted through, the sinks need power bleach to remove the grime and OSHCA may not approve of the exit sign hanging from an exposed wire. We ate a burger at the poolside bar upon our arrive, waiting for the room the be ready and decided we wouldn’t dine on property again during our 3 night stay. The location is not actually in Rincón- a short drive (not walk) to the plaza. 20 min. drive to the surfer beaches.
