Nice hotel with few negatives!

Stayed just one night on a road trip in RomaniaPositives: Nice room, comfy beds and pillows, plug sockets either side of the bed for charging phones, nice bathroom with bath, free parking, air conditioner working, nice breakfast, staff all lovely!Negatives: location from old town, which is where I guess a lot of people will go is 45 minutes walk. There was no kettle or cups which would have been nice. There was not much fruit available at breakfast but plenty of other things, however my bug bear is orange squash instead of orange juice!Overall a nice hotel, would come back.

Comfortable Stay, Great Staff, but a Bit Away from the Center

I stayed at the Golden Tulip in Cluj-Napoca and overall had a very good experience. The hotel itself is modern, the rooms are fresh and well-maintained, and the bed was really comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep.The location is not exactly central – it’s about a 30-minute walk to Union Square, so just keep that in mind if you want to be right in the middle of the old town. If you prefer quiet surroundings, though, this area works well.Parking is free, which is definitely a plus, but it’s subject to availability, so depending on the time you arrive, you might need to look around a bit.Breakfast was good, with a solid selection to choose from. And I have to highlight the gentleman at the reception: superb service – friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. He made the stay feel very welcoming.Overall: Good hotel for comfort and service, just be aware it’s not right in the city center. Beautiful hotel but beware the shower!

This was one of our favourite hotels on our tour of Romania. The room was spacious, tasteful, relaxing, and clean.The bed was comfortable with a firm mattress.The bathroom was nice but a little weird. There was no lock on the door and the shower required a bit of working out to use, but when it got going the water temperature and pressure was good.Breakfast was great here, leagues above the other hotels we’ve stayed at in terms of variety, quality, and freshness.Would stay here again. The hotel - excellent. Comfortable, parking, the hotel lobby - common to the reception, the bar and the restaurant - a complex full of life, I really liked the young and quality atmosphere. In the room a great shower. The front desk staff is helpful, kind (shalom le Erica) and responsive. The hotel restaurant is great - excellent service from a high quality, efficient waiter who has good and accurate advice and excels in cheerfulness and kindness (well done Dan!!). Cons for the hotel - 1. The choice of light and problematic carpet color everwhere where the stains are visible. 2. Broken electrical outlet in the room. Modern hotel situated at a walking distance from the city center. Very good breakfast with a lot of choices: cheese - at least 10 different types, salads, fresh fruit , pastry, very good coffee. The rooms are big, and they bathroom was looking good. A little minus for the cleaning : the carpet being light beige you can see all the spots on the floor.
