  Excellent Hotel

  We have visited A Coruña as a stop on cruises, enjoyed it and we decided to drive and visit for a week.Most staff we encountered spoke excellent English including the lady who cleaned our room (202). She was an absolute star and made our stay extra enjoyable as she not only did a great job cleaning our room. Location: The hotel is located in what looks like a rather upmarket area, it is about a 10-15 minute from from the A Coruña city center. There is a bus stop on the main road for easy access to the city center for those who do not drive. There is a very nice park within a few minutes from the hotel and there are beaches within a 10-15 minute walk. There is a very large Gadis supermarket a ten minute walk from the hotel.There is plenty of free parking on the street in front of the hotel.Check-in: The male receptionist was very efficient and he provided us with a map and suggestions of sights to see in the local area. Room: The room was large and had a seating area with a sofa and a coffee table, a large bed, a dining table with two chairs, TV, a kitchenette with a stove, small fridge with a freezer compartment and plates, glasses, cutlery and basic things needed for cooking, and a bathroom. The room was clean and as mentioned above our housekeeper was absolutely brilliant. The TV does not have any English language channels but it is possible to change the audio to English (for dubbed programs) on some channels. The air conditioning did not work well at the outset and reception sent maintenance who showed us that the thermostat needed to be dialled down to the coldest setting. It did work nicely after that on the few occasions when we needed the air conditioning.Wifi: The free WiFi was fast and good enough for streaming. Breakfast: We did not eat breakfast in the restaurant as it was not included in our rate. Overall: We absolutely loved our stay here and will return for a longer stay next summer. All staff we encountered were very nice including the staff in the cafeteria.   On a tour with low budget hotels so far, Attica21 As Galeras was much appreciated. A relief to stay in a decent hotel. Friendly staff, nice room. Dinner was a set menu, simple but tasty. Breakfast was very good. Gym available and in case you need some laundry to be done, they have a launderette. I rated the location with 3 stars only based on my personal experience.   Quality and Comfort with Outstanding Customer Service

  I picked this hotel because I wanted to see what Oleiros was all about, and I was pleasantly provided with quality, comfort and - most importantly - outstanding customer service. With 3 separate 2-week stays between September 2022 and February 2023, I have not been disappointed. The quality matches the brand's rating - they have many different types of hotels in their portfolio. Having the kitchenette here is ideal and economical for morning coffee etc. While there is some issue with noise from within and externally, the management staff is outstanding in understanding and accomodating as possible. The parking availability is tremendous in an area where public spaces are hard to come by. As a solo female traveler I felt safe, welcomed and well attended. Using the business coworking room was a challenge due to others using as their private conference room and speaking full blast on speaker phones, but that is a problem of inconsiderate behavior from individuals. The guestroom room itself is comfortable enough for work and the hotel has a fantastic location for holidaying. I hope to return for longer term in future. Enjoy your stay.

  We stayed for 8 nights in October.The GOOD:1. Great location, in a quiet residential area with easy access & parking. Walking distance to a beach, clifftop walks & supermarket. About 15 minutes' walk to Santa Cruz with a good selection of restaurants.2. The renovated room was well furnished, bright & spacious with a kitchenette.3. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a spacious, walk in shower & basic toiletries were supplied.4. Everything is spotless.5. The breakfast is plentiful, choice of Nespresso coffees, fresh juices, fruit & hot options.The NOT SO GOOD:1. The soundproofing is not great - our room was on the first floor & we were woken by noise from rooms above. We were also directly next to the gym which can be used from 07.00 - 22.00. One evening we heard a very loud, regular thumping sound which was travelling right through into our bedroom & reverberating through the floor, which is wooden. When I investigated, there was a small exercise class in progress & they were bouncing heavy medicine balls onto the floor... ! Although there was rubber matting on the floor, it certainly should not be allowed. I subsequently learned that this was "the slam ball manoeuvre" as I looked it up on Youtube. On another occasion we were woken just after 07.00 by someone using a piece of equipment which is attached DIRECTLY behind our bedroom wall. It has webbing straps & metal fittings which once let go, can ping against the wall. That equipment should definitely be sited elsewhere or removed.2. Although both flat screen TVs had numerous channels I was surprised that not one is in English although there were one or two channels in French & German. This didn't spoil our stay but a news channel at least would have been appreciated. 3. The kitchenette came in handy a couple of times, it's not particularly well equipped. I was sad to see that previous guests have been cutting directly onto the worktop which is only plastic covered chipboard. We did bring all these points to the attention of the reception staff so I hope the management take note of our constructive criticism as it will improve their guest experience in future.TIPS:1. Pick your room carefully, preferably on the top floor to avoid noise disturbance.

  This is a wonderful hotel. The reception staff are amazing (They all speak good English.), the whole hotel is so clean, the room facilities are excellent and the location is perfect - easy access to a number of beaches, parks and the city centre. The hotel has a business centre, a guest laundry and a gym. It is a home from home - and more.
