    Avoid it at all costs!!!

    The hotel, located a bit outside Padrón, was our choice after failing to find any available accommodations in the city. However, we were disappointed to find that our room faced the street, resulting in excessive noise that made it impossible to sleep at night. The room itself was dated, lacking air conditioning, and the mattress was covered in a plastic sheet that made it unbearably hot during the night. The bathroom was equally outdated, with no shower, only a bathtub that had a broken showerhead that would fall onto the ground whenever I turned on the water. To top it off, the breakfast was disappointing, consisting of a collection of unappetizing food items. Worst hotel of our Camino so far. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

    Impersonal, large ,busy facility with no attempt at hospitality

    Stayed for one night whilst doing Camiño. It is reasonably priced and its saving grace is an amazing pool. It is a long way out of town on a main road. However the attitude of the staff on the front desk was so disappointing- no attempt whatsoever at any personal service , very grumpy , absolutely refused to give us 2 keys for the room, didn’t give a stuff. Would definitely not choose to stay here again- there are much smaller, more personal places close to the town

    Warning: Lack of price transparency and overpriced appetizers in restaurant Brandal

    I am writing this to warn other travelers, especially fellow pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, about our experience at Restaurant Brandal (Hotel Scala).While the main course for two people cost 60€, we were suggested an off-menu appetizer (a type of chorizo/sausage). To our absolute shock, when the bill arrived, the appetizer alone cost 80€—significantly more than the entire meal itself.We understand that we chose to accept the suggestion and could have asked for the price, but there is a clear lack of transparency and good faith here. To suggest an unlisted item that costs more than the main courses without a single word of warning about its premium price feels like a predatory practice targeting tourists.It is deeply disappointing to encounter this kind of behavior, especially during the Camino, where hospitality should be the priority. We felt taken advantage of.We'll never go to the hotel again

    An unexpected Camino surprise!

    This hotel was perfect for several reasons. If you are walking the Camino de Santiago from Portugal, it is literally right on the pilgrim’s route and on the north side of Pedron, closest to your continuation to Santiago.The rooms and facilities are more than adequate, and the staff was very friendly.The most exciting part which was completely unexpected was the level of service we received from Marco, who was in charge of the RESTAURANT BRANDAL. Originally we had hoped to have our dinner at their other Michelin star restaurant as a Camino treat to ourselves, but it was booked and so we were given a reservation at Brandal. Not only was Marco one of the most attentive waiters we have ever been with, but he gave us a personalized service, a wonderful wine pairing, and one of the best gastronomic experiences we’ve had now in several trips to Spain. My wife and I both agree that Spain Has consistently some of the best food in Europe and Marco and the restaurant Brandal lived up to an exceeded those expectations both in Quality and Service. Thank you for making it such a special date night for me and my wife during our Camino. We both highly recommend you take advantage of this unexpected surprise.

    Great location on camino route. Exceptional hospitality and very clean hotel. Exceptional service. Restaurant Brandal was super!!! Marcos and his team was incredible. Food was the best we have had in Spain! Very good value for money. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
