  I have never had to post a negative review in all my years of travelling. However felt compelled to after our horrendous family stay here at the end of August. Similar to other travellers, we travelled with young children. The pool was too deep and not suitable, we messaged the staff several times re this and if we could take inflatables to the pool (for their safety) but never got back to me. They did however contact me repeatedly the first day there for payment as the receptionist forgot to take card payment then didn’t seem to understand we could not race back around in five minutes when laden with suitcases, trying to find the room and the significant walk from the lack of parking facilities. This did anger me as it showed from the offset their priorities were cash and not customer service or safety. The first night the room was beyond sweltering. We could not safely open windows (no bars and high up) so we put two single mattresses in the lounge for the children and between me and the children (couldn’t leave them alone as no way to lock the balcony door) where the single poor air con unit was located. The other rooms had some knackered old dusty fans and my daughter has a dust allergy and the noise they made was like something from the ark. No hot water in the kitchen. We made do with boiling the kettle. Generally worn and poor fixtures and fittings noted throughout. Typical fashion we made best and didn’t complain as thankfully spend most of our time out exploring the local towns etc. The maid attended once the 7 days we were there about two days before we left. Made the beds up in the lounge no complaints or issues whatsoever. I had to attend the reception (again) re the key issues (where to leave them) as no responses on the hotel WhatsApp again. Prior to that we assumed there was no maid so cleaned using the kettle, mop bucket and disinfectant that we purchased ourselves. We laundered all the towels to using our own detergent etc. I was not at any point informed of any issues, complaints or problems even the 12 hours prior to leaving.... Upon leaving and landing in the UK received a number of thoroughly rude messages from the reception ‘shaming’ us and accusing us of causing damage, leaving the rooms dirty and even stealing two pillows! These allegations were made over two days and culminated in the hotel demanding the booking costs (£1000) in compensation, which we assume is the cost of two pillows, taking three small bags of rubbish and moving two mattresses back the 10 feet into their rooms. The hotel then later contacted Booking.com to make different allegations to them and requesting 100 euros in compensation. We have a family member who works in the hotel industry and she advised it is possible they had a quiet summer and it may be a tactic to get more money to make up for the short fall but she's never heard of a reputable hotel acting in such a way. It is like something from a nightmare comedy. I have travelled for 40 years, mainly within Spain and Europe and never have I ever come across such a poor and unprofessional outfit as this hotel or the staff. I love Spain, the people, the country, everything about it, but this has significantly put us off returning again and being left in such a vulnerable position. On a positive the location is beautiful (the views not the hotel itself) and the surrounding towns were wonderful and the local people very friendly as we have always found wherever we have gone in Spain.

  Stayed in sea view penthouse apartment for 10 nights with husband and 4 kids. My 4 brothers and their families also traveled. Booked the penthouse as it promised air conditioning and we thought it would be luxurious. However we were disappointed on both fronts. There was 1 poor air conditioning unit in the living room and 3 noisy mobile electric fans for the rest of the large apartment. Temperatures were up on 29 degrees at night so the fans helped to blow hot air around. Between the heat and the noise of the fans sleep was minimal. We had to move 2 single beds into the living room for 2 of our children and the youngest child slept on the old uncomfortable couch. Our oldest daughter stayed in my brother’s air conditioned apartment on the ground floor. My brother & his family had same predicament in another penthouse with minimal air conditioning and an outdated apartment however they paid 382 euro less than us - more than enough for what they got. Spoke with junior management on 3 occasions. He was to get back to me but never did. He blamed his incompetent staff, senior management was sick and a personal loss for his poor customer service. We did however receive a 4th fan. Property is on the side of a mountain with a challenging road away from all amenities. Car essential.On a positive note view is beautiful as is the pool.

  AMAZING VIEWS!!

  Me and two friends vacationed here for 1 week. Due to recommendation from the reception we enjoyed some of the best food of our lives. Staff were incredibly polite and helpful, the restaurant also had brilliant service. Worth mentioning that if you don't drive you will need to take taxis to get to towns as there are no shops locally but other than that a really enjoyable stay.

  The restaurant had amazing service, lovely, attentive staff. At reception they were also very helpful, giving us ideas of where best to go and when. It’s very easy to get around with taxis and there’s plenty to do nearby.

  We booked this place as a last minute as the first place we went to was horrible and not what we had expected. Although it was out of season and most facilities were shut the staff here could not be anymore helpful. They made us feel very welcome and although extremely cold they had let us use one of the pools once we signed something for everyone’s safety. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed including tea coffee and water in the fridge. We stayed in the 3 bed top floor apartment and the views was amazing. Would love to go back in season time when everything is open and try them again. Lots of places to visit around the area and the beaches we went to were lovely and clean. Plenty of shops and malls around to. I have only given them 4 star purely because we couldn’t experience all facilities they had available but I’m sure they would b amazing also. Car in essential
