Location

The apartment hotel is located less than 200 m from Levante beach and its promenade, where guests will find several restaurants, bars, nightlife spots, shops and links to the public transport network. Alicante is a 25-minute drive from the beach hotel, while Altea is around 10 km away, Benidorm is approximately 25 km, Elche is 50 km and Valencia is roughly 120 km away. Nearby airports include Alicante-El Altet (82 km away), Valencia (129 km away) and Murcia-San Javier (145 km away).

Facility

90 apartments are located on 22 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service and a laundry service.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. A refrigerator, a stovetop, a microwave and a tea/coffee station are standard features. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A telephone, a TV and WiFi are provided as well.     Discrimination against disabled visitors. Refusing to let disabled visitors use a mobility scooter. Disgusting treatment for 2023. Advising people on mobility scooters to walk instead. No warning of these rules so avoid if you are using a mobility scooter.

    Terrible apartment, not what we expected it was very dated and dark, broken door/window shutter, dirty extractor fan, broken shelves in fridge/freezer, dodgy wiring to electrical socket and dodgy wiring to vanity light. To say the apartment was basic is an understatement!Although we were self catering there was only 1 small tea towel provided, we did not expect creature comfort but there was no soap or hand cleanser or washing up liquid. No information was provided about the workings of the apartment and the wifi password was not provided.All in all, it was more like a hovel than a hotel. This apartment is very unloved!

    We chose esmerelda suites as we booked for a extended 4 week winter break.We wanted self catering with the choice of eating out too.Esmerelda suites did give this, apartments are spacious but very tired and in desperate need of updating. Kitchen area is 4 cooking rings,microwave and a toaster, No kettle.I was able to cook simple meals.There are 2 supermarkets within 4-5 mins walk away. These are closed on sundays.Apartments are fairly well equipped, clean towels and sheets are delivered weekly for you to change beds.Shampoo,soap,tea towels, are provided but not toilet roll.There are 2 pools with sun beds that is currently being renovated. You have the use of the hotel indoor swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi which is bonus,especially in the cooler weather. The apartments are well situated close to the beach ,bars and restaurants, as its January when we were here many places were closed but during our stay they were starting to open up. Many of the apartments are being sold off to private buyers so are being privately renovated causing some building noise. The bus stop is just outside the apartments that takes you to calpe centre, the old town and the tram station where you can get trams to altea,benidorm and all along the coast.

    Very tired and uncomfortable beds/soffa

    Wasn’t expecting 5 star, however , rooms are in dire need of painting.Sofa ripped and stuffing hanging out.Furniture very dated.Bed uncomfortable, can feel base. Woke up every morning aching.Ask for mattress toppers and unavailable. Used blankets for extra padding and horrified to find stains.Air con broken and phone not working on arrival. After 2 visits to reception, we finally got this sorted.The view is breathtaking.The location fantastic.Spend a little time and money and you could easily raise your stars.Change your sofa and beds , they are the worst we have seen.

    The apartments are spacious and everything is there apart from an update to the tv although we did enjoy local home service ! Cannot fault the apartments. Service at the Esmeralda hotel was excellent and will return again! We had a lovely holiday!
