  No Frills Accommodation close to Gaudalest and Algar Waterfalls

  This was the cheapest hotel that was close to Guadalest and Algar Waterfalls (only 30 and 15 or so minutes respectively).Inside the hotel there is also a bar. The service was outstanding - I arrived at the hotel half an hour after check-in closes by accident but (I presume the owner) Rosa called a colleague at the hotel and allowed me to enter and check-in late. I also used the wrong credit card and she was happy to help me reverse my payment and charge my other credit card (which was the one that had the insurance for the trip).The room was clean and the water pressure in the shower was very good.

  cheap and cheerful, great location

  We stayed here for 3 nights for a short road cycling holiday, perfect location, room was large but basic, had aircon, no frills but clean and a hot shower,bed was made up and room cleaned each day, attached bar was cheap and stayed open late, room was only £32 night, not many places to eat in the town, only really the Restaurante Carbon on the hill which was worth going to... stunning views around the valley and good access to major roads...

  Great place for locals and visitors

  This is one of our go to places when we visit this great part of spain. In fact we like this area so much we now own a flat up the road. But. Back to the Leon. Gets busy when the football is on, always cold beer, hot coffee and good food. The staff are great and they speak some english, we usually drink in here in the evenings and you soon get to meet some of the locals. Not stayed in the hotel part but I've heard it basic but good value.

  Room was clean and comfortable. We just needed somewhere for a couple of nights and this fit the bill perfectly. The bar/café attached to the hostal was lovely and clean, simple quick snacks available as well as a selection of pizzas. Price for accommodation and bar/café very reasonable.

  All you need for a cheap but nice stay

  After a long hiking day in the mountains all that I and my girlfriend wanted to find in Polop was shower and a bed to sleep. We arrived at midnight and the bar was still open so we got in. (I understood that the bar was maybe closing at 12pm ad after that you couldn't check in anymore) The man at the desk didn't speak english but we managed to get a two person room for one night by 45 euros. The service wasn't rude but not too cheerful either. The hostel itself was surprisingly cozy and nice. There were only thin sheets as blankets but that was no problem in Spain's weather. Otherwise the room with toilet and shower was nice and clean, and the airconditioning was really good. WiFi was working quickly and perfectly. Hotel's location in Polop was good. We left early next morning so we can't say anything about the breakfast. Sign-off was quick and easy. Overall nice experience with no luxury, but that's just what you can expect from a good basic hostel.
