  Just stayed here in Calpe at the Topacio apartments for 4 nights. This was a self catering apartment. We stayed in Topacio 2. As soon as you walked through door it smelt very clean. Not even dogs ends on the floor. After checking in which was in the 24hr reception and been given directions to our apartment. Coming up to the apartment there is a bit of a steep hill. If you drive you can park the car right at the base of the apartments which costs €8 a day. However there is plenty parking on the basement parking spot which is free. We struggled to actually find the apartment itself. Just be aware when you come into the ground floor check the numbers on the signage for the lifts. You go either left or right. Once inside we were very very pleasantly surprised. The place was spotless! Very well equipped apartment. Full kitchen, 3/4 Heath fridge freezer again it was spotless, full cooker with 4 ring jobs. Gas cooker that is. Microwave and full cutlery and crockery too. There are 2 patios one outside livingroom and another at the kitchen area. Plenty of garden furniture to use as well as a washing machine. Small tv in living area and all Spanish channels. You could bring a usb stick to plug into the tv. There are 2 bathrooms the main bedroom is an entire-suite There is a cleaner who comes once a week. But there are plenty cleaning stuff for you to keep on top of the housework lolThis is a really good value hotel and I think whenever we come back to Benidorm we will he stayed here. I love these apartments. The only downsides are no hairdryer or kettle so bring them with you. There is also plenty of towels.   Thought I would leave an upto date honest review.Self catering facilities were pretty good fridge cooker oven microwave and adequate pans etc.The bed wasnt the best and the mattress protector was old and abit grubby.No sheets or towel change from sunday to saturday.The balcony views to the beach were amazing and to the nature reserve as well.I think information regarding shops would have been helpful as the apartments are quite a distance from the main town.We were very disappointed with the pools they were open but no sunbeds and not very clean.Not sure I would stay here again due to the above but Calpe is lovely

  Better than expected, pleasantily suprised, moved on arrival to topacio4 which was 2 bed en suite with balcony ! Given keys for apartment to come and go as you please, 800yds up from topacio1 but quite easy to find, another gate to the seafront/beach and bars restaurants on sea front, no internet wifi at all but could live without for a week ! Supermarket (large) 5min up the street, no maid service ! Situated perfectly on sea front, calpe centre 45min walk !

  We checked in and were sent down the road to Topacio IV, bit tricky to find but very nice when you get there. Really food apartment on two levels (two bedrooms) with balconies. If you’re there in April I would advise slipping a small fan heater in your luggage as it was really cold.

  Good Points:They have really efficient , friendly and helpful staff from the reception to housekeeping to the maintenance and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.There are 3 blocks and we had our apartment in the 3rd block (III).Expedia website says car parking is 8€ a day but it is free off street parking off season, they also say a deposit of 100€ but they just took a note of our credit card. All apartments have balcony and ours was overlooking the sea on the left and a lake on the right. Getting the sun all day.The furniture is old fashion but functional.There is a separate bedroom with a double bed 2 bedside cabinets , a chest of drawer and a good size wardrobe with loads of clothes hangers. We found the mattress comfortable as we like it hard & it wasn’t lumpy. There is extra long pillows & a blanket for the sofa bed in the lounge.In the lounge there is a round table with 4 chairs and a chest of drawers and a big display unit with more shelves and drawers. It’s an open style kitchen which has a fridge, a cylinder gas cooker, electric oven & grill and there is a microwave & a toaster & a coffee maker. Our toaster didn’t work so we got a new one & before getting there I called Expedia and requested a kettle which we had to get from the reception.There is enough plates and glasses but no wine glass & no mugs. There is enough cutlery and bottle opener, scissors, grater , electric hand mixer etc. and saucepans & frying pans. There is an ironing board and iron, and clothes dryer & pegs..There is a small flat screen LG TV which has USB sockets, as there are only Spanish channels on the TV we brought a USB cable to attach to our android phone & downloaded a watch TV app before coming so we can stream English TV , or what ever downloads we have on our smart phone. There is free WIFi one without and with a password which you can get from the reception , both work inside and by the promenade but intermittently.Balcony is nice and big with a large plastic table and 4 chairs. There is a heating/ air conditioning unit too.The bathroom has shelves and under the sink cupboards & a shaver plug . Shower is inside the bath and very basic but works fine. In a cupboard in the bathroom there is a washing machine which is top loading and cannot take 3 in 1 capsules, as they don’t melt and get stuck to your clothes, also the spin was no good, everything came out soaking wet so we told reception and they came and fixed it.There is a broom and floor mop. Floors are all made of large tiles.The swimming pools are open but freezing cold in January.They come and change the towels, sheets & drying up cloths once a week from the day of your arrival. As it’s self catering you need to buy everything even toilet paper, they had left us one roll though. There is a large supermarket:Consum , 10 minuets walk and an Aldi & a Lidl about 25 min walk. The beach & promenade is literally outside the main door, we came off season and lots of the bars & restaurants were shut but some are open.We asked to leave at 11 am instead of check out at 10 am and that was no problem.Bad Points:-It is very difficult to find the reception. If like us, you hire a car or you don’t use their airport shuttle the reception is very difficult to find so I suggest you put:Edifico Turmalina atCalle de Llebiegin your GPS because that’s where you check in is at any time. See my picture taken from the front of the reception.-Pillows are long and flat and hard.-No safe-No hairdryer-Sofa bed’s cushions are loose so when you sit down they slide off the wooden bed.-No duvet only sheets and blankets-Not enough space in the kitchen to dry the washed dishes-Only 2 plugs in the kitchen one across the sink !!!-The walls are very thin and we could hear our next door’s conversation, coughing , snoring and more !-Pets are not allowed but when we asked reception they said some people own the apartments and they can have pets, we could hear dogs barking for hours.
