Location

    Scam. Overpriced, overrated. To avoid

    I recently stayed at Cetina Palacio Ayala Segovia and it was a huge disappointment. This place is completely overrated and absurdly overpriced for what it offers. The rooms look nothing like the photos, and are very far away from a boutique hotel. It's just an old, uncomfortable hotel with several flights of stairs to reach the rooms. Rooms are also unrenovated and uncomfortable. It honestly feels like a tourist trap designed to take advantage of visitors. For the price they charge, you’d expect quality and professionalism, but instead it feels like a total scam. Both management of the hotel as well as of the group lack of professionalism. Save your money and stay literally anywhere else. The very nice monuments of Segovia can be visited in one day, then you can consider staying outside and just pay for the well allocated parkings in the city, instead of extra pay for a terrible hotel like Palacio Ayala, a real shame that for sure would ruin your vacation.a

    Beautiful hotel with lovely cheese bar

    Stayed in a three person room which was very spacious. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast spread had a lot of variety including a big selection of fruits and pastries. Had wine and a cheese board on our first night. Server explained the cheese selection and gave tips for eating order. Easy walk to shops and restaurants but tucked away from the noise of other parts of the city. Can’t wait to stay here again.     Lovely, cozy place with great atmosphere and decor. Huge bathroom space with lots of amenities and really comfortable beds too. Loved the location and found it very convenient when sightseeing.     Lovely 2 Night Stay

    Stayed in a Junior Suite for 2 nights with our 2 kids, room worked out better than our expectations. It was both spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped.Location was good as well, everything we wanted was within about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I guess technically Alcazar is more like 20, but breaking it up with a meal near Plaza Mayor makes it even more manageable.Would defintely come back if returning to Segovia.     Lovely little gem of a place!

    The location is fantastic - really central and easy to walk to all attractions, yet pleasantly calm and peaceful at the same time. The staff were super friendly and helpful with any questions we had, and were kind enough to give us a surprise room upgrade on checking in! The room was incredibly spacious, with a very large double bed. There were several pillows, so I'm sure everyone would find the right ones for them. Similarly, towels were plentiful and fluffy, as were the dressing gowns. It was pretty hot while we were there, so we really appreciated the air conditioning in the room. The building itself is beautifully and tastefully renovated, and the comfort of our room was really phenomenal. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and we felt very at home. Oh, and breakfast was plentiful, with attentive staff refilling as needed.Overall we had a really lovely and memorable time in Segovia, and staying at this hotel was an integral part of that experience.
