  Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, not the best in terms of service, very bad extremely rude and just going through the motions staff in the bar.the rooms are lovely and the price was good for hamburg.Cant recommend and would advise to stay somewhere else

  Horrible Heat Control in Rooms

  The room was extremely hot. For 2 days it reached 76 degrees in the room, and the staff “could not’ make any adjustments to the thermostat. The staff told us that the tech was sick, and that they didn’t have a back-up tech to help. We did not sleep for 3 days as there was no air-flow and the room was so hot. I would not stay here again.   Mercure Hamburg City Mitte:It is a lovely hotel.   The warm helpful reception staff made our stay pleasurable. The hotel is basic, clean and reasonably well situated - taxis booked through reception came in good time and cost 14 euros to most attractions. Breakfast at 25 euros per person was too costly. We had a substantial, delicious breakfast in a cafe at the end of the street round the corner for less than 20 euros for two of us. We chose the hotel because evening meals were advertised there was actually no food other than breakfast.That said there is a lovely Lebanese restaurant just round the corner. We realised on the last day that the codes on the wall provided information about places to eat/draw money but with no skills in such things we had to wander about to find things we needed.

  A Disappointing 4-Star Experience at Mercure Hotel Hamburg Mitte

  If your preference is for vintage accommodations with compact quarters, then this is the 4-star destination for you. As a first-time visitor and diamond Accor member, I chose to stay at the Mercure HH Mitte since other Accor Hotels were fully booked. My anticipation was set for a typical 4-star experience with the standard upgrades. However, this hotel fell short of those expectations. The rooms had an outdated feel, akin to being in a train station, with small windows but none of the charm you'd associate with a boutique hotel. With a rate exceeding 200 Euros per night, it seemed overpriced. And don't even consider inquiring about a gym - the staff's response is merely a chuckle. My advice would be to steer clear of this hotel, but if it's unavoidable, opt for a room on a higher floor.
