    A pleasant hotel 250 m from beach. Comfortable beds, living room furniture a little old fashioned, checking was fast and efficient. The television is available in Spanish and German no English channels and the V.O. option on the remote control to switch the language to English for English programs as been disabled. Otherwise the apartment was good for our stay

    Staying facing these appartments now. For the last week they have had two dogs on the balcony 3rd floor, barking their arses off morning and night. Don't know if they are guests or live there? Ignorant people whoever they are and ruined our holiday. You would think the management would sort it out.

    A real hidden gem, if you want a nice quiet relaxing holiday. Reception staff welcoming and friendly, apartment large clean with everything you require,fridge/freezer, hob, kettle, iron & board, dish wash pack|(very handy).Bathroom adequate, but a little tired, towels changed every other day. Nice balcony overlooking the pool, the sun beds and pool a little tired. A 3 minute walk to the beach, again really relaxing beach spotlessly clean. 3 euros for sunbeds with cushions for the day. Local supermarket and a few tapas bars in the locale. Beautiful walk along the promanade 20 mins either way to more restaurants and bars. Very Spanish and very cheap, great place for a relaxing break.

    With a very short noticed, we booked this apartment hotel, mainly based on the reviews, we only booked 2 nights as we wanted to see how the beds were and the cleanliness. We were so happy with our first 2 nights that we booked an additional 5 (for the whole trip). It was really clean, we had 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another with 2 singles. All the beds were firm and comfortable. First 2 nights we stayed on the second story but then we moved to the ground floor, so we walked right from our apartment to the pool where we spent most of our days there. There is a restaurant/bar at the hotel with good pizzas and good opening hours. A small convenient store is about 2 minutes away and the beach is only 3 minutes away. The beach was not crowded wich I loved. There were some restaurants around the area, within 5 minutes walk, there is a street with lots of them. I recommend the Curry House, an indian restaurant. The apartment is quite basic but had everything we needed. Shower curtains and equipment might need updating but the shower power was good. We had a microwave, 2 burner stove (no oven) and a big fridge with a small freezer. A dining room table and a tv (even though we didn't turn it on once). 2 elderly gentlemen were always by the reception desk and were happy to assist despite some language barriers, it helped that my friend knew some Italian. We were the only foreigners, beside one Brit, others were Spanish tourists that we thought was quite nice. We had the pool to ourselves most of the days, kids came and went but it was lovely. Outdoor showers and a small hot tub. Lots of benches to lie on under shade.I would definitely visit again and my friends were already talking about returning this fall. A great stay for a great price.

    Perfect Relaxing Holiday

    This was our first visit to Roquetas De Mar so we booked the Maracay Apartments based on their good reviews and thankfully we were very happy with our stay. We booked a one bedroom apartment for a one week stay and were allocated a very spacious 2 bedroom apartment when we arrived. We were shown to our room by the pleasant and helpful night manager who also later gave us some maps and good advice on where to get something to eat.The apartment was spotless, bright and spacious, nicely furnished with an air conditioning unit in the living room. It also had a laundry room with a washing machine and clothes air dryer making it ideal for long stay guests. The kitchen was a good size and well equipped including a microwave. We asked in reception for an electric kettle which they duly obliged though the first two kettles blew the fuses, the third worked fine. The bathroom was also spotless with a terrific shower. The main bedroom was very roomy, had a double bed with wardrobe with lots of hangers and a chest of drawers with over mirror. The second bedroom had two single beds again with a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers and shelving.The apartment didn’t have a safe but we were happy that the complex was quiet and secure. The pool area was never too busy and was very relaxing. We found all the staff to be pleasant and helpful. There is a supermarket just a 3 minute walk away and apart from the pleasant restaurant in the Maracay there are also a number of bars and restaurants nearby and along the seafront. Roquetas De Mar has a 16km promenade which is great for walkers and is a pleasant and peaceful resort, this appealed to us and we will certainly return to the Maracay in the future.
