  My 3 star rating might seem a little unfair to people who have stayed here before but I just didn't enjoy my night in Sant Quirze de Besora. Misleading and incorrect information in Booking.com and on the Hotel's own website does not help either Booking.com or the hotel, and especially me.I went out of my way to stay in Sant Quirze de Besora. It looked like an attractive little town built on opposite banks of the river Ter. But it wasn’t. The hotel was decent enough but the town was dismal. I saw that the hotel’s restaurant had been closed for a while but to be told that there were no restaurants in town open on Mondays was quite a shock, and really annoying to say the least. Where’s the nearest I asked the receptionist. Ripol I was told – over 10kms away !!!!I unpacked and ventured into the tiny Plaça Bisaura thinking I might find a small café or botiga de forns but no such luck. However, on my way back to the hotel two guys were going inside with shopping bags loaded with crisps, biscuits and beer. They told me there was a small “corner shop” supermercat just down the street. My dinner for the evening therefore comprised a packet of ham, a packet of crackers and two donuts. A bottle of wine felt necessary but, luckily I suppose as I had quite a journey in the morning, I couldn’t find any with a screw cap.The hotel itself was OK. Nice setting alongside the river and enough street parking round the corner and in their own lower level car park at the back. It just felt sad and unloved. My room was spacious with everything you would expect for the price but it was dark & dreary. Two small niggles - the shower cubicle was really tiny and the rail in the wardrobe was missing.You might guess that I didn’t enjoy my overnight stop. Not entirely the hotel’s fault but even a bar in the place might have helped. To top it all, I walked across the bridge the next morning to take a look at that part of town and partake of a croissant or tostada and a coffee. You’ve guessed it. Nada.

  Slightly unusual welcome in that in mid-afternoon I had to call and wait for someone to come and open up for me, but once that hurdle was overcome I found I had a large, simple but comfortable room with a nice, big bathroom. I suspected at first I was the only guest (the restaurant was closed on my first night), but the scene was lively enough in the bright, cheerful bar when I went down for breakfast the next day. I enjoyed the riverside position, and subsequently had both a good salad lunch and a simple but tasty in dinner in the restaurant, which is called La Coca del Ter. At the price charged I would happily stay again.

  Great wee hotel in the middle of a great town , the hotel has a great asset in its Staff one lady in perticular spent a great deal of her time to help us Print out our boarding cards for our return flight home , ( i think her name is Juliea) she was a star for us !!

  Old fashion hotel in Sant Quirze de Besora with good equiped rooms. We have done check in with friend of owner (volunteer - funny start), but quite convenient hotel for turists and business travelers.

  To start with we had to wait quite a long time for the reception to be opened and that was only 11 am. Then the room wasn't clean from the previous customers, left overs and smelly.In the evening we wanted to have some dinner which was was inedible and cold.Overall an awful experience adding that the landlady is rude and with not good manners to customers.
