  I wish I could post a great review, however...... We stayed in apartment 16c. This accommodation is in a residential block, ( be aware when booking.) It is very quiet, which we liked and within reasonable walking distance to the old town , beach and new town. There is a sea view from this apartment The enclosed balcony is huge and has a dining table.The apartment itself badly needs updating. It is very tired. The kitchen needs repairs to the footboard and the seals around the sink. We had to make a complaint as the cooking pans, which were under the sink, clearly hadn't been checked as they were dirty. ( they were replaced with new pans) The worst thing was the beetles. We had to complain about this and the agent we booked through sent someone round to "disinfect" We think they basically gave it a mop as it didn't solve the issue. We ended up buying sprays etc ourselves which helped. It is possible it is a problem in the building.It is such a shame as this apartment could be amazing with some modernization.There are two pools ( no sunbeds as it's residential) and the garden is lovelyThere is a cafe / bar and a cute bakery as you come out of the building We definitely wouldn't book here again

  Stayed 15th-19th May2 rooms, 7 females.Arrived at key collection, when given deposit 150euro per room, no one in party had taken bank cards. This began a very stressful and tense situation not what I needed at the start of my holiday especially in the heat. The y did say that when paying by cash due to how we had to get money bank after returning to the UK it would take approx. 3 weeks. So tip take a card with you. We were then told to walk to the apartment with no escort so we headed up in the direction they said. Luckily one member of the group had stayed with Fincas Arena group before so knew roughly where we were going.Arriving at the apartment with no air condition and a heater yes a heater it was extremely hot and clammy, but being in the holiday spirt we brushed this off and went to the pool. There are two pools, yet we were told we weren’t allowed to use on. There are no loungers around the area so ensure you take towels to sit on. The rules are very strict around the pool (fair to say we didn’t spend much time around this). No lilos, no ball games, no alcohol, no music, no jumping in and of course a shower is compulsory before you swim. It was nice for the locals to let us breathe if I’m honest. The official description says ideal for families well I would feel sorry for a large family if they stayed in fact anyone with children. One on occasion one of our groups had a shower before swimming as had been told off for not doing so the previous day. We then forgot to turn the shower off this then caused major problems and we were threatened with the police. When leaving the apartment one day the groundskeeper handed us items including ladies underwear, to which we informed these did not belong to our group. Due to the atmosphere around the pool little time was spent here and we used other pools in different hotel. Fair to say we were not made to feel comfortable or welcome by the locals. The room it’s self-had no air con, the cooker nor toaster worked, the water for the shower was solar powered if you’re not lucky to be first its cold. Then came the cockroaches, no light in bedroom and in one of the rooms we booked the bathroom door shut and locked itself and as it was the weekend we had no one to contact. I asked in the local shop and was informed no one was around. (Thankfully this gentleman was always nice and polite smiled and said hello every time we saw him). After walking back to main office to phone the emergency number this appeared to be constantly engaged. This resulted in three members of our group to change hotel in order to have bathroom facilities, even though our toiletries and clothing locked in. The company have not been in touch to discuss having these returned. When eventually getting in touch with the operator told to go back to the room and they would inform us how to open this from the outside which gave the impression that this happened regularly. I generally don’t like writing bad reviews but I feel this is a true reflection of the apartments and customer services given When returning to the UK, phoned requesting deposit back I was told no as there had been problems with the community, many complaints and damage to hotel room and community area. A few days later I received deposit back although £20 shortAfter many emails back and forth I received what I would say was a very unprofessional email, when I challenged them on this and on the missing deposit, they have failed to repose. For a cheap break away with room, deposit, calls to company both in Spain and UK, items which were locked in bathroom and taxi to and from centre approx. 6 euro each trip it actually worked out a very expensive mini break. I feel that the customer service from this company has ruined my holiday experience and no doubt I will have a reply from the company which is not very complimentary. But I feel all I have wrote is fair and just and after all am what I experienced. fincasarena, Gerente at Gemelos 12, responded to this review You simply are a liar.Remember you have been notified you are not allowed to check in in any of the apartments we rent because of the problems caused by your party members.On arrival some of you were so drunk that you did not understan our explanations. You reserved in booking.com and there is clearly explained about deposit, credita cards, payments, etcbut if you don´t read we can not do anything more.The guard of the building had to call for national police on sunday because of you and your friends behaviour in the pool area (they were 8 man who arrived with you but were rented in a building in front of you and you really know them and because of that you allowed them to get into Gemelos 12 pool area, again you are a liar).After the administrator of the building alllowed us to return your deposi we did it. but before that we called you to explain about the delay returning deposits back, Remember you menaced us about that with a prosecuting us in UK.Our information doesn´t offer, sun beds in pool area, no air conditioned in rooms. pool area rules dependes on the building administratior, (you rent a private home in a residential blockYou were locked in the bathroom, because you lock the door but you were so drunk you were not able to unlock, and we went to open you the door.You have never reported problem with cocroaches, not either client before or after you (so that matter is really curious)So really all you say it is not true. and you really deserved to be evicted from the apartment at the mnet thje guard had to call for national police.We expect not to see you again in future in our premises, we deal with thousands of british clients every year and they behave themselves right not as you.Kind regards

  make sure you have a phone as when get dropped off at 2am in the morning at the backdoor bar the guy who owns that must get fed up of telling people the fincas arena where you pick your keys up is across the road. but bat 2am it is closed there is a number for you to ring luckily a couple where also waiting for their keys and explained that we had also arrived as my phone was flat. , the apartment was clean, a washing machine which is brilliant as you don't need to take as much luggage , down sides toaster and hob didn't work we only make boiled eggs and toast for snack at lunch but if you eat in all the time it would have been hard work. the shower needs a little attention and was very small . but we would stay there again now we know what to do about the keys, no sunbeds as it was mainly residential but the 2 pools where beautiful and the gardens where also.beautiful. not the best for kids as you cant use lilos or footballs in the pool. fincasarena, Gerente at Gemelos 12, responded to this review Dear client:Thanks for your comments.The check in procedure and key collection, is explined to travel agencies and they have to tell you.if you book direct to us, you receive a persona email with all explanations, including a reminder about transfer drop off point so you save a taxi trip.We are very sorry if you receive a lack of information from your agency.We are happy to know you had a nice holiday experience in our apartmentKind regards

  Would never stay here again wild goose chase to get the keys to apartment which no swimming pools in use no bar no receptionist last thing u wanna do when u arrive about 230 am is have to hang around street corners waiting for the keys dragging suitcases with u to collect them from another apartment this isn't even a hotel it's a residential block highly recommended by Mark from hot deals not local lots of hills and walking to get to main shops and beach not even on local bus route

  Went on 11/4/16. Spent atleast 2 hours finding room and getting keys from ficacasarena. Had to go back three times. Paid room deposit for us and next door our parents we went with. It is now the 22/04/16. Still not had deposit back even though the agent said it would be put straight back on are card. We asked him at least 4 times what happens with it. Gemelos 12. Room 16 c and d. Last 2 days of our holiday there was work around both pools. fincasarena, Gerente at Gemelos 12, responded to this review Dear client:Thanks for your comments, but we have to explain about your opinion.We have 2 bookings under a different name in that apartments, not Gary L. (we are not going to say the booking names in here because we protect the names of your clients)You have already written to us some days ago and we have replied that we have returned your deposit back to your credit card next day to your departure, and have told you to ask to your bank if you did not have received the money.We have returned 200 € on 21/4/2016 at 18:21 hrsWe also have requested your to send us your e-mail address so we can send you a copy of the recepit about we have returned your deposit, but you did not emails us, so we can not send you the proof that we haver returned your money next day asfer your departure.Abouy check in day, in your travel voucher is clearly indicated that apartment keys have to be collected in FINCAS ARENA in Av/ Europa, 23. If you book a transfer for your own and you request tobe taken to Gemelos 12 address instead of our reception office address, you can not say that collecting keys is a mess.In winter time pools are not open to swim and they are doin normal maintenance around them to open in summer season.Because of that we think your comments and evaluation are not fair with us and our apartment.Kind regardsGemelos 12 - Fincas Arena apartments in Benidorm
