  Definitely return and definitely recommend

  Great experience from start to finish, checking in was seamless and we were in our room in no time. The room was exactly as described with a great view from the balcony over Poniente beach. Evening meal was good with plenty of choice, although I would advise in asking for a jug of water to avoid paying for a bottle. We had the choice of lunch or evening meal. Breakfast was good, typically cooked choices and continental. The bar was nice although the entertainment catered more for the Spanish who were the majority of guests. Ideal location, 10 minutes walk to the old town and €8 to the outdoor market.   Our Fourth Stay at the Montemar.

  This was our 4th stay at the Montemar. It is still our favourite hotel in Spain. The staff make it such a pleasant stay. The food was good with lots of choice. The dining room is buzzing with mainly Spanish guests and the staff are all welcoming with a smile, in particular Jose who manages the sittings. The rooms are immaculate on arrival and cleaned every day by lovely staff. The highlight for us is the entertainment in the bar at night. The drinks are really good and well priced. Pili and the other bar staff greet us will smiles and they really make us feel welcome. We really enjoy the Spanish entertainment hosted by Denis who does a such a good job. The cocktails on the roof terrace are the best you will find in Bendidorm. We cant wait to go back nexy year. The Montemar is a proper Spanish hotel and we love it. Thanks to all.   First time at hotel but wouldn't go again.

  Hotel clean.no problem with cleanliness of rooms. No kettle in room to make cup tea. No drawers limited to put clothes in. Food was average ate out few nights although we paid extra for evening meal. breakfast/evening meal. To many guests going for the food at same time couldn't get table had to wait. Should really have two sittings. 8 pm till 10 pm. Which 10 pm is late to eat. Hotel is good location. Beach over the road very nice beach.   Good location, spotless facilities, good if you pay extra for seaview, have a balcony then....this time was in a back room adecuate, but shabby, looking onto a back alley, no balcony, no tea and coffe facilities even on front rooms, food hit and miss!! Teatime hours 8pm till 10pm, quite late, so if you are visiting bars, miss lots of entertainment.Staff and receptionists, cleaners cant fault.... a very spanish hotel, and spanish travellers NOT friendly at all, Benidorm Montemar, Director General at Hotel Montemar, responded to this review Thank you Maureen for sharing your feedback with us.
