Location

The hotel is situated 10 min from the centre of Jerez, right beside the racing circuit of Jerez de la Frontera, and just 20 min from Arcos de la Frontera and Puerto de Santa Maria with its beach. Bars, nightlife and shopping, as well as the bus and train stations, can be found 10 minutes' drive away in the centre of Jerez. The hotel is also around 20 km from the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos and the Costa Gaditana. Cádiz is around 35 km away. San Pablo - Sevilla Airport is around 60 km away and Jerez Airport is some 15 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 49 non-smoking rooms located in two 3-storey buildings with lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The holiday village has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Pure relaxation in the hot tub, fun on the waterslide and refreshing drinks at the pool bar – guests will experience just how rich and varied a day in the water can be. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy on-site a putting green. For a fee, tennis is also available. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, billiards and squash. Various wellness options are available at the holiday village, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon, massage treatments and hydrotherapy treatments. Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options, picnics and snacks are available. The complex offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Very nice ... but check room location!

    Nice golf hotel with excellent food, good service and clean rooms.But the racing track behind the hotel is an issue.... I had read about it in different reviews and therefore enquired about races that would take place during our stay - there was none planned. HOWEVER, it appears that the racing track can be hired on a private basis. Thus, we had racing noises all day long ...Having said that, the noise is bearly audible at the front of the hotel (rooms restaurant), i.e. on the golf course side.But beware if you take rooms on the backside of the hotel.Also, the wonderful large pool area was exposed to the noise. A pitty, really. Luckily, you can choose to go to the adult pool which is tucked away from the noise.Otherwise, all was top, incl. Spa, gym and pool areas!

    A truly spoilt time in Barceló Montecastillo Golf this April

    We spent 9 days in this hotel for golf and recreation and it was a wonderful experience from the moment we checked in to our departure. The service was amazing, -thanks to the friendly, hard-working and professional staff. They created the perfect environment for a great holiday and we cannot wait to go back! To single out some names seems unfair to the others but I must say thank you to these people that looked after us so well : Marilo in the Proshop, Antonio in the bar, Alejandro -a trainee in the restaurant, and Esperanza, Rocio & Lucia in reception. We ate à la carte the first night and had the buffet thereafter and the food was excellent good value with a change of theme each night so we were never bored. The wine choice was also good and the prices reasonable. The golf course was a real test and a few holes were challenging but in a positive way - I need to come back and play them again! My only negative comment is that edges of the course lacked grass on a few holes, and all players did not rake bunkers🙄 But overall, I really enjoyed the course and would happily come back again.     We had a two bed villa, all the staff lovely, rooms clean and comfy. Hotel nice and food okay, golf course enjoyable but some areas of course need some attention, tee areas, fairways and greens all good. Location only downside as 15 minute car journey to get to restaurants and bars.
