  Great beachside hotel with friendly staff

  Overall this was an ideal location to stay. It was a 45 second walk from the front door to the beach (a simple walk across a street and you're there!). The staff was incredibly friendly (especially the housekeeping staff who made our children feel extra special and welcomed. Additionally it was very close to a variety of restaurants both along the beachfront and on the city facing side. The breakfast was very good offering various meats, pastries, yogurts, cereals, breads, pasties, fruits and more! We were also impressed with the variety of milks offered to cater to individuals with various allergies. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it as a solid option if you're looking for a beach side hotel in Cadíz.   A lovely hotel in a good central location for exploring Cadiz

  We had a very enjoyable 2 week stay. The staff were always helpful & efficient. They were able to advise on any questions we had about places to visit, book taxis for us & advised us when my husband needed to see a GP to obtain a prescription. I even received a bottle of bubbly for my birthday :) The rooms were well equipped & clean & there was a good range of food at breakfast. The hotel was ideally placed close to the beach & lots of places to eat & just a walk or short bus ride from the centre of Cadiz.   Don’t count on a nice ocean view!

  The hotel sells an ocean view that is the most disappointing ever! It seems this was an office building converted to hotel and the windows are so small! You can see the ocean but it is a joke! Breakfast was equally disappointing, served in a cramped room that is hard to get to. The common areas and the room itself minus the view are ok. Never ever staying here again!   Relaxing, highly professionally run hotel. Couldn’t be better placed for a fabulous beach holiday close to ancient Cádiz

  Brilliant staff. Always smiling and helpful. Especially in the bar and restaurant.We had the burrata focaccia and it was delicious. Thoroughly recommend.Towels for the beach were great. Could exchange for fresh ones any time. Rooms were spotless. All the sand from the fabulous beach opposite was gone after cleaning each day. Bed was absolutely huge. Ask for sea view definitely. People watching excellent at any time, day or night.The beach is sandy, no pebbles, no seaweed, no algae. Fantastic for swimming. Some waves when we were there added to the fun. Lovely promenade by the beach stretches all the way to Cádiz I think. Buses run regularly from the road parallel to the beach one block up. So easy. 1 euro 10 cents each way to Cádiz old town which is a wonderful sight.Some excellent restaurants within easy walking distance of hotel. We particularly liked Mareo, a seafood restaurant. Everything we ate there was superb.Chiringuito Porto, just about opposite the hotel, on the beach by rows of sunloungers, was also great to eat at. Would definitely recommend booking the restaurant of your choice for lunch time. You may be lucky in the evening without a booking but depends on whether a weekend or Spanish holiday.We had no car, hotel is a 10 minute taxi ride from the train station. Less than 10 euros.thoroughly recommend this hotel.   Very disappointed

  First impressions were good. Beautiful foyer with lots of tables and seating, but sadly hardly used. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed , but strangely no doors on wardrobe and only mirror on back of wardrobe wall, so too dark to see and hidden by clothes anyway. Good bathroom, again spotlessly clean. Breakfast room was adequate with good choice of hot and cold dishes. Dining room was utterly soulless,same menu for lunch and evening meal and nothing vegetarian. Not being very mobile we hoped to eat in on a few nights but didn’t bother. I did ask about vegetarian food at reception but they weren’t interested. Shan’t be rushing back I was seduced by the Melia brand and stayed many time in their hotels. Not their usual standard .
