    Good location. The hotel is located approximately 15 minutes away from cabarceno natural park , Santillana del Mar, Altamira cave museum, Comillas and Cueva del Soplao in a quiet area with supermarket and restaurants nearby.Room is comfortable, clean and comes with an added sofa bed. Bathroom comes with a strong pressure shower and free toiletries ( soap, bath gel and shampoo).Plenty of free outside parking space.The hotel doesn’t have its own cafeteria or restaurant but there is one next door great for breakfast and dinner and also another two nearby .

    Excellent Hotel on the outskirts of Santander

    Excellent budget hotel on the outskirts of Santander.Rooms were clean and spacious for a couple, shower pressure was tremendous and the staff were discreet yet friendly. They also had our room ready when we arrived at 9:30am.The bar within the hotel is decent and popular with locals and visitors alike.Nearby there is a large supermarket (2 minute walk) and another restaurant.It cost around €12 to the centre of Santander in an Uber. I’d recommend pre booking both for the airport and trips elsewhere. Uber were substantially cheaper than the normal street cabs (€32 euro’s from the airport as against £18 on the return journey with Uber.)If there were any negatives I’d say supply a kettle in the room with some tea or coffee but it’s minor and probably a common complaint.

    Currently in the hotel. Very subtle, modest. Clean and comfortable. I think you will get what you have paid for. As it is an affordable hotel. The only thing I would say is missing - coffee machine in the room or at least in the “communal area by the reception” There is a “la factoria” place outside the hotel, 1 minute walk where you can get your coffee, breakfast, and possibly lunch. It opens at 8am till midnight.Transport from and into the city of Santander best recommended to use UBER. As they are very reliable and cheap. But remember to book in advance / reserve in advance for best guarantee.

    The hotel has a massive free car park with the entrance to the hotel around the back of the building. We were welcomed by a very friendly lady who advised where to grab something to eat. The room was huge, warm and comfortable. There was a t.v. free WiFi and a hairdryer. The bed was big and comfortable. We had a great peaceful nights sleep. The shower was hot and powerful. On departure we handed the key back to another friendly lady on reception. All in all, a wonderful experience.

    Stayed in Sep 2023. Room was clean and a good size. Bathroom was perfectly acceptable and the shower was great (good pressure).Our window opened up onto the car park (so no real view of such) and there was a bar about 50 yds down from our room. Quite lively in the evening but only the super sensitive would be affected by the noise. Reception staff were friendly. About a 10-15 min drive into the centre of Santander (5 miles). 5 min drive to get to the major ring roads/motorway. , Owner at Chateau La Roca Hotel, responded to this review domtheone,We appreciate that you positively value both the characteristics of the room and the service offered by our team, in this case reception.
