    Too much carpet for my taste.The bathroom has to go in and close the door in order to pass, as it collided with the sink.The worst the hot tub. The smallest thing I've ever seen.Maybe dinner.     The first day of my stay I showered and when I came out the whole floor full of water. I called the front desk and told him what happened, he reluctantly went upstairs with a mop. Cobwebs in the room and very poor maintenance. The curtain full of holes and with an Americana tape to fix it. Quality fairly fair breakfast, I don't know replenished. I didn't get compensated for the syphon boat jam. The reception is not waiting for those who arrive at 4 am not to speak loudly so that we can rest the others. The pool tiles loose and departs on the floor with the danger that entails and above all the price of the Sketch Room for what is. It doesn't even get to two stars.     Decent hotel in a nice resort town

    We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel, and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is not as modern as you might suspect from the photos, and the rooms are fairly basic. There is a nice pool and jacuzzi, and a rudimentary gym, although the latter is in a fairly odorous basement. The town itself is very pleasant with some good value places to eat, and many lovely beaches nearby. Overall, this was an average hotel, but vey handy for Santander and Bilbao.

    This hotel is situated in the small village of Argonos, near the Bay of Biscay. I had to take a bus from Santander, (1 hour away 3.95 euros). The staff were very helpful and the breakfast had a nice selection and the dinner was pretty good too. My single room was on the small size but the bathroom was big and the bed was comfortable. You can travel to the other nearby villages by taxi, Carlos seems to be the only one within the 30 mile radius. Taxi fare from Isla to Argonos (3 km) was 10 euros. You can also go cycling from town to town or by car. The villages are quaint and charming. Argonos has a lot of restaurants to choose from with daily menus at 9 to 12 euros. The weather was hot in August, but the breeze from the bay was wonderful.
