Location

    Such a warm welcome from the team despite the torrential rain. ;) The hosts could not have done more for us and were very hospitable. Very accommodating of our little dog and gave us everything we needed - highly recommend! Functional and clean rooms, very convenient for our ferry tomorrow

    Very Average Hotel on the side of the highway

    Stayed here two nights. From the pictures, the hotel looked very nice with a very nice pool but, when you arrive the pool is quite small and more of a decoration than a pool. The hotel is simple. Clean rooms with a good bed but, nothing more. The hotel is directly connected to a gas station which serves some low-quality food. There is not a restaurant in this hotel, you need to eat at the gas station next to it. Plenty of parking.

    We stayed her on our way to Santander.The hotel is in a motorway services just off the A8 road. It has a petrol station and a cafe next door, and a car wash. There is plenty of parking.The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a good shower. There seemed to be only one plug socket, and the WiFi didn’t work in the room - although it did in the hotel reception area. There is a small swimming pool outside, which we did not use.The hotel staff seemed friendly and very enthusiastic to explain the local sights. The cafe next door seemed a little limited in choice, but there are various other fast food places in Torrelavega, which is a short drive away.

    Nice Place to Stop "On the Way" to Something Else

    I ended up having to stay here because all of the other hotels in Santillana del Mar were booked. If you have a car, it's only about a 10 minute drive to Santillana and the Altamira Caves so it's not too bad. Otherwise, the location is nothing special. It's right off of the major highway and next to a gas station so it's convenient for anyone who needs to stop and rest and then keep moving. I wouldn't go here for the pool- it's small and surrounded by a fence right next to the parking lot. The staff was extremely friendly and even let me switch rooms because the internet connection was weak at first, so they moved me closer to the router in the reception area (so if you must have internet, make sure you reserve a room closer to the router). It was also nicely decorated and very clean.
