  Plenty of positives but ruined by late night noise outside the hotel

  I stayed in this hotel for nearly a week in April 2025. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were very good. The food was wonderful, though sometimes you might need to queue for some time if many people in the hotel were having meal. The location was very convenient for visiting the city, the beach, and other beaches and attractions. There were plenty amazing nearby places to visit and see and the weather was fab. Without the following factor, the rating would have been nearly perfect.However, there was one single biggest turn-off during my stay. The hotel was located near shops, cafes/bars, and numerous other hotels. However, it was still possibly 1 km from the very city centre. There seemed to be many young people including high-school students visiting the city during this period. They would party out on the street till 1:30 am. So you would expect noise from shouting, group jogging, and other crowd activities. I did request a change in my room from facing the street filled with shops to another room facing the residential buildings. It helped only partly. You could still hear the big noise from the crowds till 1:30 am on half of the nights. You can expect quiet nights for sure only after early mornings, which was not a great situation for anyone who would like to have a more regular schedule of travel and sightseeing. From my quick search of certain hot spots in Spain near the city centre, this seems to be a common problem-- noise disruption late at night and sleep deprivation for tourists. I had mentioned this to the hotel staff when request the room change. They said the local authority was aware of this and tried to reduce the late-night noise. It appeared that this was not working.   Family boutique cosy hotel which had a lovely feel

  Cosy boutique Hotel clean and all staff friendly. Food was lovely and great variety. The pool was a bit cramped as subeds close. Rooms Cleaned daily and all other areas were spotless. Are was a 10 min walk to beach which is a course sand so only went once. Shop on the opposite side of town where much better as it was the repudiative usual souvenir ones. The highlight was the local bus to GIRONA which is so beautiful I’d go back.   A very nice hotel 🏨 very helpful at reception and the bar,people were very friendly and the cleaning service was exceptional 👏 We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Acupulco. Location was perfect near shops and the beach. The rooms were fine,got a kettle for coffee, there was air conditioning, we never needed anything, breakfast was included, you could pick what you liked.   The hotel lobby, restaurant and bar area are all very modern and fresh. The staff were all friendly that we met. The standard pool view room was functional for 5 nights. However, the room really needs a refurbishment. The beds were comfy, and we were provided with an extra pillow. The maid cleaned the room the first few days but not for the last 3. The blinds were frayed, and the lamp shades need to be cleaned. The bath has bits of rust, and the balcony could do with a scrub. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. Overall we would return either early or late season so as to avoid the younger crowds.
