Stolen luggage from “secure” luggage storage

    rating18 May 2026

We had a great stay at this hotel until checkout day, which completely ruined the experience. The location was good, and up until the final day we had no major issues. After checking out around 11am, the hotel allowed us to store our luggage in their supposedly “locked” luggage room while we waited for our airport transfer and sat by the pool.Around two hours later, we returned to discover that both of our medium/large suitcases had been stolen. When we informed staff, we were immediately met with denial and repeatedly told this was “impossible” because the room is supposedly locked whenever guests enter and exit. Despite there being CCTV cameras clearly covering the luggage room and lobby area, staff were extremely reluctant to review footage or allow anyone else to see it.The most frustrating part was the hotel’s response afterwards. They did not encourage us to contact the police and instead claimed they would handle it themselves. During multiple phone calls afterwards, staff repeatedly suggested that “friends must be playing a prank” on us - despite us travelling alone as a couple, not socialising with anyone during the holiday, and making it very clear we knew nobody at the hotel.Jet2 later informed us that their representative was also refused access to CCTV footage unless requested directly by police. However, as far as we are aware, the hotel never contacted the police themselves or took any meaningful action while we were there.Because we had a flight to catch, we were forced to leave for the airport with only our beach towels and hand luggage. In total we lost around €160 in cash and approximately £2,000–£3,000 worth of clothes, jewellery, and sentimental belongings. What makes this especially disappointing is that we had genuinely enjoyed the holiday prior to this incident. Unfortunately, the dismissive attitude from staff and management afterwards made us feel unsupported and almost as though the situation was being brushed aside rather than properly investigated.Based on our experience, we would not stay here again or recommend leaving valuables in the hotel’s luggage storage facilities.

Nicer places to stay in Lloret

    rating05 Apr 2026

Location was good. Room was ok. The street noise is horrendous, you won’t get any sleep and rooms are paper thin. The bed is like sleeping on an ironing board. We were also woken up at 7am by someone banging the hell out of next doors room as someone had locked themselves in!? The staff some quite rude, not all of them though. The breakfast was utterly disgusting, eggs cooked to the death, everything was cold. Only hot thing was the fried eggs station but there is never any staff around to know if you even have to site down. Anyone can walk in from outside and probably have breakfast if they tried. Also we paid for a ‘double room’ and got 3 single beds. ‘2 pushed together’ , Dueño at Alegria Plaza Paris, responded to this review Dear 533elysb, We are sorry that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. Regarding the noise, we apologize for the inconvenience caused. However, we would like to point out that this is not a common occurrence at our establishment, but rather an isolated incident. As for the firmness of the bed, we understand that this is a matter of personal preference, although we will review this aspect as well. We are surprised by your perception of the staff’s service, as this is one of the aspects most highly rated by our guests. As for breakfast, we follow strict quality and temperature controls for the food. And regarding the rooms, on occasion, depending on availability, rooms with different layouts may be assigned, always respecting the reserved occupancy. Sincerely, Guest Experience. ALEGRIA Plaza Paris.

Visit to Lloret de Mar - off season

    rating19 Feb 2026

Although this hotel is located in a good location for the beach area it is very hemmed in with narrow streets surrounding it and no parking. The hotel parking is quite pricey and you can't reserve this in advance so it's a lottery. There are public parking garages available but they are expensive which makes for a costly time on top of your holiday cost. The bus station is not far away so if possible go by bus rather than take a car. Goodness only knows what it's like in the summer as my trip was off season and there was so much traffic everywhere. The hotel staff were friendly and overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. , Dueño at Alegria Plaza Paris, responded to this review Dear TwoHoots51, Thank you for sharing your review and for your positive comments about our staff’s service, the cleanliness, and the comfort of our facilities. We’re glad to hear that these aspects helped make your stay enjoyable. As for the rest, we understand that the traffic and the price of parking were not entirely to your liking. These are aspects inherent to the destination and the high volume of visitors during certain times of the year, which can influence the overall experience. Nevertheless, we appreciate your review and hope to welcome you back in the future. Sincerely, Guest Experience. ALEGRIA Plaza Paris.

Only positive was the reception. Restaurant: poor, tasteless, cold, no variation, ...I had better food in the army. Room: not clean, poor furniture, not possible to stay on the balcony...street noise. Car parking: not connected to hotel, small places,....Swimmingpool: tiny, no place to sunbathe Totally not recommended.

    Last min holiday

    rating25 Oct 2025

Went with friend hotel quite central to everywhere. We had to walk from drop off point to it flew jet2. Clean and tidy.staff ok some more pleasant than others. Had to pay returnable €10 each not sure why. Couldnt get drinks before 11am, not even water . Room was clean though shower only had one door on so flooded everytime used it. Balcony was ok pigeons everywhere though. Had extra blankets in case and fridge. There is a safe you have to pay €5 a day for that which wasnt said anywhere. You need earplugs not because of outside noise because the walls are so thin! We had young man one side and very amourous coupke other! When they moved out we got another! With 2 yappy dogs as added bonus! So between the couple and the dogs no sleep was had. We complained the day after and they did offer to change rooms we only had one night left so werent worth it. Food was buffet and varied with fresh meat being cooked to order. Catered to mpst countries there was 'snack bar' qpen 4pm-6pm near the pool and youveat in that area. There wasnt much entertainmen disco every night with same music. It was all right place to lay your head not much for children thankfully i didnt have to cater for that , Dueño at Alegria Plaza Paris, responded to this review Dear Kath,Thank you for sharing your opinion with us. We are glad you enjoyed our buffet. However, we are surprised by your comment about the all-inclusive package. The hours you mention, from 11:00 to 23:00, are the bar hours. But the dining room opens earlier and drinks such as water are available. We would have liked you to contact our reception department, available 24 hours a day, to raise this query. Finally, our website already provides information about the services we offer and which ones have an additional cost.Kind regards,Guest ExperienceALEGRIA Plaza Paris
