    Smell and noise ruin the potential

    Could be much better easily. This hotel has so much potential that could be achieved so easily. The sewer smell in bathroom is so bad it almost makes you puke. Guess the connection from sewer to the toilet is root cause (see picture).Noise in the hall can be solved with rubber strips to the doors.Noise from street is because sliding doors dont close completely (see picture). Is a better solution than to provide earplugs. Tackle the cause.With this, the perfectly located and equipped hotel would be perfect. The great bar and restaurant would be a bonus.Now I would hesitate to come again due to the smell and noise

    Hotel Aubi is one of the best places we have ever stayed in Costa Brava. Not just a lovely hotel but the staff are like family and they make your stay with them feel like they genuinely care about your experience, my girlfriend and I have stayed here twice and 100% will be back it’s better every time.

    Although the hotel is close to the beach it is extremely basic for the high price we paid. We were told we would have to pay 55€ per person per night extra for a room with Aircon. Our room was overlooking the main road and it was impossible to sleep. As it was so hot we had to have the doors open which meant there was traffic noise. Don't waste your money. Completely overpriced and very old.

    Many aspects to improve. The staff was so slow. It was dirty, there wasn't soap and deficiencies everywhere. We only stayed 1 night. The best was the location, next to the beach. This hotel seems to be neglected.

    Aubi is a typical hotel built in 60s or 70s and it is located in Sant Antoni de Calonge, a little town in Costa Brava, in the North part of Catalonia. The hotel is located close to the beach, only two streets far from there. It is very good, if you want to go to the beach, to walk on the promenade or to go to eat in any restaurant in the city. The room was big and it has almost all I needed. In fact, I came here with my little child and she could play perfectly in the room. Moreover, the staff from the bar and the reception was very friendly with us and they helped me with the baby.On the other hand, facilities of the hotel are a bit old (I think they needed change some parts of them) and the rate Quality/price is a bit expensive (almost 55 euros/night), but it is OK, because prices in summer in Costa Brava are always extremly expensive. When I return to Sant Antoni, I am sure I will book the same hotel again.
