Location

The hotel is located on the Costa Brava, 36 km from Barcelona, in the small fishing village and traditional thermal spa resort of Caldes d'Estrac. It is set right on the seafront. It is 50 km from Barcelona Airport and 64 km from Girona-Costa Brava Airport.

    I book a room in this hotel through a voucher called “lavidaesbella.es” for me and my boyfriend. Very disappointed because we had a room with parking view (apparently the rooms kept for this kind of Vouchers) that had nothing to do with a 4 stars hotels. The furniture were in a terrible state, really this room needs to be refurbished. Also we had two single beds...!! When I went to reception desk after checking in the room, I’ve just been answered that it was the room for those vouchers. The others rooms with balcón had a supplement of 60€... We felt so disgusted not only for the room we had with two beds but also for the way we’ve been treated. Really had nothing of a 4 stars hotel...!! I won’t recommend it!

    Urgently needs a brush up and staff training

    Rooms are clean and staff is mostly friendly, but not very motivated to do their job and not attentive at all. Tables at breakfast are left uncleaned, and since there are lots of doves flying aroud its super annoying. If you want to order something at the bar, you almost have to beg to be served. Hotel guests tend to be a bit older in general.

    The hotel were kind enough to hold my booking without a deposit for a considerable time. However I found the overnight desk staff to be inexperienced in my case and incapable of dealing with any issues. We had a block booking for nearly 30 guests and they needed to upgrade some the guests to suites which was extremely kind of them but this was done without taking into account whether they were giving a room to a single person or a couple which really was senseless. Otherwise not such a bad hotel very clean and but lacking the fact that there was no option of extra towels or so I was led to believe, no coffee or tea making making facility in the rooms and no complementary water to my recollection.Beautiful location and used by locals as opposed to tourists.Hotel needs to brush up on there act.

    We got a coupon through Groupon website to stay in this Hotel for one night in a promotional price that included the room and breakfast during certain period from Sunday to Thursdays. When we wrote and email to them to make the proper reservation, the reply to us that they did not have availability for the dates that the offer announced there for they were offering a room on a Wednesday (taht btw is included in the days range) but we should be paying 30 extra euros just like that because they wanted to. I have been working in 4 and 5 stars hotels through out the world for 15 years (front and back office and reservations) and have never seen such a bad treatment to the guest. When you have a room published in your hotel and you get overbooked is your responsibility to solve this issue offering something that will fit your client and your reputation, unless you dont care neither for guest or your reputation. For a petty 30 euros you wanted to earn extra you came out with no reservation and a very bad review. I wont be recommending this hotel ever to anyone.

    Went there for a spa and a massage. The hammam in the spa was cold, but the worse was the massage, the room was freezing cold, the masseuse was barely massaging and i asked her 3 times to add pressure which she would for about a minute, i asked her to put heat on and kept telling me it was on. Half way through the massage i walked out. At the reception they litterally said “what?” When i came to complain and admitted that the heating in the room i was in didn’t work and all i got was a “ well we’re sorry” no refund, didn’t try to do anything. I used to go there a lot for massages as i live nearby, but will never go again. Oh and also, they only accept cash, weird.
