  Comfortable and clean

  Good quality hotel in a beautiful location on a headland by the sea.Rooms are clean and comfortable. The newly refurbished ones with sea-facing balconies are superb, the older ones with smaller sea-facing terraces are also OK, but the newer ones are clearly recently renovated. The newer rooms have better bathrooms and WiFi than the older ones, and some have spacious balconies.The breakfast isn't cheap, but it is more than generous and of very good quality. It is served in a large glazed restaurant overlooking the sea and unspoiled beaches.

  ⭐☆☆☆☆ Breakfast Scam

  I booked Hotel Costa Brava through United Hotels, carefully choosing a room with breakfast included since we were traveling with kids and breakfast is important for them. We were part of a group traveling with several families — everyone else checked out without any issue.However, to my surprise, during checkout I was told I had to pay extra — around 60 euros — for breakfast per day. This was shocking, especially because all we had was a cup of coffee for me and a small juice for my daughter, who was competing all mornings.I immediately contacted United, and they confirmed that breakfast was indeed included in the rate I had booked. Unfortunately, the hotel refused to honor United’s confirmation or correct the charge.It’s deeply disappointing — not only because of the ridiculous charge, but also because of the lack of professionalism and customer care. I would not recommend this hotel to families or travelers who expect transparency and respect for confirmed bookings.

  Lovely stay but a few minor downsides

  Overall we enjoyed our stay here but there are a few minor downsides to the hotel that are worth mentioning. The staff weren’t very welcoming. Reception desk staff often didn’t make eye contact or look up. Waitressing staff were quite miserable. We stayed in a family room with a sea view and the view was incredible. The hotel is located in a beautiful location but the rooms are a little dated. The air con was also quite weak for the size of the room. Breakfast was nice, but not a whole lot of choice. More continental than hot breakfast. As for value I would say this hotel is quite expensive for what it is. The location is great but the hotel is dated and needs some TLC. Staff also need to be more welcoming.   Classic seaside charm with a modern twist

  I spent three blissful days at Hotel Costa Brava in mid-May, and it reminded me why hotels near the sea have clung to certain traditions: there’s nothing more timeless than waking to the scent of salt air. Our first-floor room, complete with a lovely balcony, felt like our own little retreat overlooking that endless blue ribbon of beach. The interiors are very nice: a mix of modern trendy with classic charm.Location couldn’t be better: a short stroll lands you in the heart of Platja d’Aro, while the Camí de Ronda path literally starts at the hotel’s doorstep: perfect for history buffs and walkers alike. Car users rejoice, too: parking is never an afterthought here (on-site spaces plus two nearby lots).Shout-out to the Reception team, who were super helpful and went out of their way to get us checked in swiftly. The only hiccup? For checkout, a woman stationed at a back-office desk kept asking the Receptionist (who was handling 2 couples and a family of guests) silly and non urgent things, which seemed to frazzle the Receptionist unnecessarily.Now, the breakfast. I respect a well-oiled buffet line as much as the next pilgrim to freshly baked croissants, but here the kitchen’s “warm trays” approach left the eggs and bacon feeling like relics from an earlier service: neither hot nor cold enough to satisfy purists. The spread was varied and the dining room divine (inside or on the terrace). Pastries and breads are delicious and the variety of jams and celiacs and vegan options are available.All said, Hotel Costa Brava blends that enduring seaside charm with an edge and unbeatable location.   A lovely hotel, super food, stunning views, friendly and welcoming staff.

  What a lovely hotel! The views are outstanding, the rooms clean and fresh and the staff very friendly. We had dinner on the first night and it was superb; a set menu which included croquettas, fideuá and other local favourites.A really lovely hotel just far enough away from the bustle of town (but a 3 min walk in!) set between 2 beaches.
