  Disgusting smell

  It was without doubt the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The smell in the room from the toilets/drains has made me ill. I am trying to get a refund but no luck yet.

  I've always wanted to remain as a neutral in reviews and this one judging from previous reviews always make it hard to be neutral.Firstly it's location in Santa Sussnah is about an hour's drive north from Barcelona or Girona airport (lower cost carriers use Girona) factor that into that budget, because taxis aren't cheap or you're going to have make do with public transport, either book ahead or check the train apps before going.On arrival, be prepared, the staff don't speak much English, French or German and the reception is small and so they can get overwhelmed, this hotel loves to book events, I saw three dance, one martial arts and poker convention over the weekend, which puts the staff on high demand.Let's look at the room, it's incredibly basic, but I did get a balcony, a shower with disco lights, and a heated mirror BUT no where to hang towels, air conditioning-ish, and a shower with low water pressure and occasional hot water which was set to nuclear temperature, access to WiFi is clunky, needs ALL the details, including date of birth but it's good enough for Netflix and Spotify. The bed was very big, on the harder side and one sheet meant if the aircon stays on, it blows directly on your bed and will be cold. The cleaning team was quick and turned the room over every day to be fair.I took a full board package, and the food choice with any high people traffic resort was a buffet mass produced style, I was greeted with cold fried eggs, warm salads and fruit plus very very well done meat (although cooked fresh it's not nice to see the chef handling meat with his bear hands!) with all the eateries around, yet some fish, potato's and cheese boards were very good when they didn't run out!I'd take the breakfast and eat elsewhere, now the restaurant gets busy, the language barrier meant you end up with long queues and an empty restaurant, I think the staff were trying to stagger the queue but didn't this communicate this properly and lots of people were angry, this is where learning a bit of Spanish can save the day - I didn't know why signs were not used, plus the choice of drinks at lunch are water and water which tasted weird.Access to the beach is a five minute walk, there is an serious amount of choice when it comes to food, swimming pool is a highlight as the water park which they run as well.It's sad with a little bit of effort and thought for the customer, this could hit four circles but the restaurant chaos, and a quirky room - it just misses the mark, I can't really recommend it when there are so many other hotels to choose from they seem a better choice for a stay.

  - Free car park, but not much space, almost impossible to find space- Reception speaks little English, often nobody at the reception- Not allowed any water mattress or swimming ring in the swimming pool- breakfast is available until 9:30 am, and 9:25am may not let you in the restaurant as to near closing- no space in the room, luggage was on the balcony as no space for it- very loud a/c makes noise all night, like a bell or dropping nails every 15 minutes- water in the shower changes itself from cold to very hot, unstable- fridge in the room without freezer- main light switch is hidden behind massive TV, never used TV and light switch was found after 4 days- security doesn't speak English and is very rude- restaurant services - only one person was nice- reception services - only one person was nice- BAR - often nobody at the bar

  Bedbugs ! Chinches! Punaises ! There was an unpleasant odor in the room, and after the first night I found tiny drops of blood on the sheets, and bites on my arm and back. Manager denies there are bedbugs, but what I saw matches what I found online. Stay away, this is a health hazard. That being said, we have to tell people our side of the story.You came to us saying that there were bedbugs on your assigned room. Ok, that could happen, and we could compensate you if there's proof in the room after we do our desinfection. But you came to us claiming that on your third night. Strange, if they were already in the room, on the first night you already should have suffered them. Furthermore, We actually did the desinfection three times in a row to see if your claims were right, but not a single dead bedbug appeared, as it should happen. In addition, if there were bedbugs on the room, you should have lots of injuries on the skin, not just one. All together, we had no proof to compensate you for your claims, so we did not, and you left us very angry for that.We are sorry for your bad experience and it's a shame you left that way, but our side of the story is important too.Thank you for your time.

  Horrible experience. Staff in reception and in dinningroom treatet,us like we we where thieves.Im and older lady, i have been traveling the world, and especialy Spain. Never in my life, have had such a bad experience. You cant use the balcon all day, because of the Boule players below. Food Was good, rooms also ok, the nicest person in the hotel was the repairman.
