This attractive hotel lies in the middle of the tourist centre of Calella, only separated from the sandy beach (50 m) by a seafront street. Restaurants, bars, a diverse range of shopping facilities and nightclubs are within around 300 m. A stop on the public transport network is located only some 25 m from the hotel. The town centre is just around a 5-minute walk away.

Facility

13 junior suites, 7 single rooms and 142 double rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Rooms

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hotel offers a wide range of outdoor sports, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis and golf. For a fee, guests can also enjoy horse riding. With windsurfing, jet skiing, paddle boating, banana boat rides, canoeing, sailing and aquafit available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example table tennis and darts or, for a fee, a gym and billiards. There is a wellness area with a spa, a steam bath, a hammam, massage treatments, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium. Subject to charge: a sauna. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a café and a bar. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A delicious and varied buffet awaits guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers picnics. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    Okay, but some service issues

    Reception staff unfriendly, I needed towels as they weren’t changed and when I asked I just got a lecture about how I should have left them in the sink. Indoor spa hot tub was cold on the first day I stayed. Second day I stayed the sauna wasn’t working. I wanted to take a croissant from breakfast to my room and I got stopped and accused of stealing by 2 of the restaurant team, and they tried to search me. I asked for late checkout and even though the hotel was extremely quiet they wanted €40

    Its a strong 3, but 4 has is slightly optimistic Nice hotel, good rooftop sunbathing and two small Jacuzzi’s giving a nice environment. A bar would make it stand out on the roof.Underground a further small pool and Jacuzzi, however 8 people and its full.People are excellent, the food staff are really great, smily and friendly. It just needs to rub off on the blunt miserable one on reception spoiling the experience. The food was really good and plenty of options but very busy in a tight 2hr window for dinnerDoes have a gym but its quite small and more like your converted bedroom. Its locked, it was never used and costs €3 per person which feels a bit tight.The sauna the same, never saw it used, its €8 per person and 30 mins notice to crank it up, all a bit lacking a high quality feel.The sea view is great, however expect keeping doors closed to keep the noise of screaming people at 2am, the refuge wagons emptying glass bins at 4am, and the train that is actually between the hotel and beach so you cant just walk over to the beach.The town was great and a free train offer to Barcelona meant we visited 3 times, but be warned whilst free it’s incredibly busy and you may have to stand up most of the 90 min way.Room was great no issues with cleanliness or quality but just starting to feel ever so slightly dated but wouldn’t out me off.All in all recommend, but unsure how it will fair when really busy in summer with facilities Stand out…the people in the restaurant they do a great job.

    Lovely hotel overlooking sea. Felt was good value for our stay half board. Breakfast very good, dinner in evening not great, better standard at previous GH hotel I stayed at. Staff in restaurant and bar lovely , younger gent on reception not so much . Rooftop relaxing area fabulous. Would certainly recommend this hotel.
