    Location was good with lots around the hotel. We paid 85 euro for a taxi from Girona airport which was standard rate (these are all displayed when you get out of the airport) Hotel was good. We arrived at 11 and room wasn’t available til after 2. Our all inclusive kicked in at 12. We were given two token cards each and you are required to scan your all inclusive band when you go and get a drink. You need to return the cup to get another drink. Pool area is very small and doesn’t open until 9am so expect a queue (it was busy for the few days we were there) There are tokens for a bed and an umbrella at the beach but again you need to be at reception at 7.30am to get these. (Otherwise it’s about 20 euros for two beds and an umbrella) The beach was lovely. Really chilled and 5 mins walk from the hotel. The sand is small stones so not great under foot I would advise taking some sand shoes for when you come out of the sea! We went to Barcelona for the day on the train. It’s about an hour away and the train station is a 15 min walk away. Would recommend. We booked tickets on the Trainline app easily. The train was VERY busy on the way home so prepare to stand on your journey home! Be aware the hotel guests are often from coach trip journeys and so the hotel has an older clientele. Safe is 10 euro and is returned on check out. The food was okay. Breakfast was excellent with eggs, bacon, beans etc (huge shout out to the egg guy! He made a mean fried egg!) lots of fish in every lunch and dinner menu and some of the food was cold but we always found something we liked. Drinks were good. A different cocktail special everyday and good measures. Bottles of Coca Cola were available at lunch and the sangria was lovely. Check out is 10am we got an Uber back to the airport and it was 55 euros.If you have a room overlooking the street make sure you take earplugs and it’s VERY noisy at night! Beds were comfy, rooms cleaned everyday. Hotel was very clean. Television with some English channels. Overall a good stay.

    Just finished our stay with this hotel and headed back to the airport. There are good bits and bad bits but overall the stay was very nice. PROS:1. food was good for all inclusive and there was a wide variety to choose from and tasted pretty good. 2. 99.9% of the staff were wonderful, special mention for the reception staff and food hall staff who were really great. 3. Hotel was clean in all the public areas which was nice4. Location was good as close to the beach and train station. Lots of lovely shops in the town too. 5. Sunbeds available majority of the time but plenty of seating outside by the pool6. Lifts were mostly working throughout the stay7. Animation team were great fun, they really tried their best to motivate the guests and make some fun for everyone. Bingo was great! 8. Quieter areas of the hotel available for a comfortable sit to watch sports or TV or read. 9. Drinks were generously poured and alcohol didn't taste appalling or watered down.10. Balcony had seating area and light for eveningsCONS:1. the starting times for all inclusive was a little late in the day. This opened at 10am in the bar, this would be better if tea and coffee was available prior to 10am. Also finished fairly early at 10pm which was a bit annoying if you wanted a drink past then. 2. Not something the hotel can help but it was extremely noisy at times during the night... pack earplugs. 3. Spa, not really a spa. It has a jacuzzi that didn't work so was like a warm bath. But I did love the sauna. Didn't try the gym to be able to comment. 4. BEDS these are super uncomfortable! Desperately need an upgrade or mattress toppers. They are like camping beds. 5. No washing line on the balcony so bring one with you. The pros definitely outweighed the cons and we had a really lovely time. Thanks Htop Amaika Hotel.

    Hotel location very good. Room was excellent with a sea view (although an interrupted one). Only negative point would be that at night time a/c doesn't seem to cool efficiently .House keeping always done to a very high standard. Meals available should meet the needs of most people. The outstanding point in this hotel is the excellent staff. To mention some: Sandra (Front Desk) always so helpful and caring, Andres supervising the dining area, Reda and Ali serving,Yousef the cook. In the bar Izabela is outstanding, so friendly and efficient , and Alfonso the waiter, a great guy.
