  Worst vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in

  This was the worst vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in.The town of L’Estartit is beautiful, if a bit sleepy. It’s a small beach town with very little going on other than water adventures. We didn’t have a car rental, and regretted not being able to visit nearby towns to go to indoor activities during peak heat of the day.There seem to be two sides of town, and this house was on the side with fewer shops and restaurants. This was not a problem, as it’s only a 10-15 minute walk to get to the church and shops on the other side when you want.This rental has posted quiet times, however some nights it was quite noisy, especially the first few nights when we discovered that the town was hosting a carnival half a block away that made lots of noise until midnight every night.Now let’s talk about the house.The biggest problem is a lack of air conditioning, no fans, and no screens on the windows. If you open the windows to let in some air you end up with mosquitoes everywhere, and if you keep the windows closed the place becomes unbearably hot. My family have dozens of bites all over our bodies.Overall the house is very dated, and does not live up to the staged photos. Even just small things, like no art on the walls, and fewer seats in the living room, and no coffee maker. The kitchen is very small. There is a two-burner cooktop but no oven. There is no kettle or coffee maker, so you’ll have to boil water in a pot if you want to make some instant coffee. And the kitchen faucet sprays all over the window each time you use it.There are a very small number of power outlets. In the kitchen you will have to unplug the microwave if you want to use the washing machine or toaster. In each bedroom there is a single two-prong outlet.Due to inadequate shower curtain or lack of a shower door, the upstairs shower leaks all over floor, leaking through and causing mold in the bedroom below. There are no garbage cans in either bathroom, so any personal hygiene products will have to be taken to the kitchen for disposal.Each room had a pair of twin beds, as advertised. These are very squeaky beds, and if you want to slide them together to sleep next to your partner you’ll find that they move apart easily and will not stay in one place. Two of the beds are in the bedroom that reeks of mold and mildew. Bed sheets are provided, but you are expected to put them on yourself. And there is no fitted sheet, so you’ll likely find the sheets come off every night and the whole bed needs to be remade.Towels were an extra fee. That said, the manager was very receptive via WhatsApp and had them delivered within minutes.A token amount of toilet paper and dish soap were provided, as well as a kitchen sponge, but we had to buy more for our 6 day stay, leaving most behind. I hope they at least leave it for the next tenants.There is only one entry door, and it locks from the inside using the single key we were given instead of with a deadbolt. If somebody is inside when the door is locked, they are trapped and cannot get out. This seems like a big safety hazard. Not to mention awkward if your party wants to split up and do different things and arrive home at different times.

  We just came from the house of terror. Good thing it was only for four nights and the rest of the day we spent away.Old, dirty, uncomfortable, full of dead and alive bugs.The only thing worthwhile was the pool.I don't understand how you can rent something like that.   We stayed at villas piscis from 17 untill 24 of july. The location of the villa is great. Next to the beach and also next to the boulevard. The house itself however is really old. The beds are not comfy, the bathroom is not clean and really old with shower curtains. The pool is great. Only not enought beds to enjoy the pool with 7 people. The bbq wasnt even cleaned, so we didnt even bother using it.Overall we made the best of it and had a great stay, but that was not because of the house. Wouldnt recommend the house, but would recommend the location.

  We booked this Villa, but did not actually stay there - it was uninhabitable for our families, we had to find a hotel in EstartitThe villa had a foul odourThe villa is not the same as the photo advertises. it is much smaller and cannot accommodate 8 people. In the lounge, there was only a small settee which could only comfortably sit 2 people.The fridge was full of ants, the kitchens` hygiene was so poor we could not have prepared food there.The table in the lounge was so rotted with wordworm it had crumbled, all the furniture was old and dated all the lamps looked unsafe on even just had an exposed bulb.The toilet had been used and not cleaned (or even flushed) before we arrived and there was an overwhelming smell of urine in both bathrooms.The shower base and shower curtain were dirty and stained The shutter blind was broken, as a result. the lounge window would not open, No fans or air conditioning,The fourth bedroom was a cupboard that had a window leading to a garage, no one could possibly sleep in there, even if they could tolerate not having air, both beds in this room were broken, one had fallen to the floor, The patio furniture was all cracked and unsafe,We hired towels that had faeces stains on them, I could go on......The female member of staff told us to go away, because we were complaining, but admitted they would not let their own family stay there, Booking this Villa completely ruined our holiday, we were left wandering the streets of Estartit desperate to find a hotel, the company eventually found us alternate accommodation 5 days later after our tour company became involved. Worst holiday experience- ever !!!!!
