Location

    Great stay at mir octavio

    Hotel’s location is great near centre and bus station. We were two adults and two children, our room was spacious with two connected bedrooms , sitting area and big bathroom. Beds were so comfortable and wide. Rooms have big windows and balcony with lots of sunlight. We booked online through agoda which was cheaper than the hotel itself. We stayed from 6-10 April. There were lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Algeciras port and sea is about 5-8 minutes walk.hotel was clean and reception communicated well in English. Overall we were happy.

    We chose this hotel because we also wanted to visit Gibraltar. It's ideally located when arriving in (or departing from) Algeciras by public transport (train, bus, boat). In fact, the train and bus stations (including buses to Gibraltar) are just 50 meters from the hotel.Furthermore, we greatly appreciated the manager's empathetic attitude following a problem we encountered.

    This was the second time. I exaggerate this. We have arrived late and found a welcoming staff. A clean room that’s well appointed with all the convenience including a bidet. The window view from both visits was soso but we didn’t care. We fell asleep immediately anyway.The location is what got us there. It’s located next door, and I do mean next door, to estacion de autobuses. Nothing like crawling off the bus and into bed. Or as this time, getting off of a boat, took a 7eu taxi ride from the port, into bed, and then up and out the door the next morning to get on a bus. And, get this, it sits on a small traffic circle with the estacion de train immediately out the front door of the hotel and across the circle.So the location of this is premier to me, but I would not have returned if the first time we stayed was bad.

    The hotel put us up last minute when we had problems with our train from Algercias to Madrid. Really lovely clean hotel right opposite the station and very close to the ferry port. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Thank you!

    Very convenient bed. Large apartment with balcony. Silent. Convenient parking. Great to have baby crib. normal hotel for a night stay near Gibraltar or before ferry.The area is bus station. Not a lot to do around and where to eat.Breakfast of hotel is weakest point of the stay. It is good if You have no time to get it, but not a big choice of meals. Also can not explain those which were as tasty, more like very averige at its best.
