  Disappointing experience

  Recently went for a golf break at this hotel with a group of friends and, overall, we had a wonderful time. The facilities, atmosphere, and company made for a very enjoyable trip.Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a serious incident. One of my friends, a professional golfer who left her golf clubs by the pool and sat at the bar . When she returned about an hour later, they had disappeared.What was most disappointing was the response from the hotel. We were told there were no cameras covering the pool area and that there was little they could do to help. It's difficult to understand why such a public area would not be monitored, especially at a resort catering to golfers where expensive equipment is commonly brought on site.For my friend, these clubs are far more than just golf equipment. They are irreplaceable, having been carefully fitted and used throughout her professional career. She was absolutely devastated by the loss.While we appreciate that the hotel may not be directly responsible for a guest's belongings, we expected a greater level of support, investigation, and empathy ir compensation....The lack of CCTV coverage and the limited assistance offered left us feeling very disappointed.A lovely golf break sadly ended on a very sour note.I don't think I will go back there.   Fantastic Geoup trip overshadowed by theft!

  I recently organised and hosted a golf trip to Precise Resort El Rompido for a group of 28 ladies from the UK.Overall, the trip was a great success. The resort is in a beautiful setting, the golf courses were enjoyable, and the ladies had a fantastic time. Many wonderful memories and friendships were made, and there were plenty of positive aspects to the experience.Unfortunately, my own stay was overshadowed when my golf clubs and golf bag were stolen during the trip. The equipment had been left within the resort grounds, close to where our group was gathered and only a short distance from where I was sitting for approx 45 minutes in daylight by the pool bar where staff were present. A car park just 20 paces away was the only viable access route without being seen. The clubs were recently purchased professional equipment that I use as a PGA Golf Coach, together with items of significant personal and sentimental value.To be fair, staff were polite and assisted with searches the following day after the loss was reported. However, the equipment was never recovered and the resort was unable to establish what had happened. I was also disappointed to learn that there was no CCTV coverage of the area where the theft occurred, leaving no means of identifying who removed the equipment.What has disappointed me most has been the response afterwards. Despite acknowledging the distress caused and confirming that the resort could not determine what happened, the hotel’s final position was to deny any responsibility, offer no compensation and no goodwill gesture whatsoever since my return two weeks ago. I fully appreciate that the hotel may not be legally liable for the actions of the individual responsible. However, I do not believe it is unreasonable for guests to expect appropriate security measures within a resort environment, particularly in communal areas where valuable personal property is regularly present.The ladies in my group enjoyed their stay and I remain grateful for the efforts of staff who assisted at the time. However, the handling of this incident has left me feeling extremely disappointed and has unfortunately overshadowed what should have been a very positive experience.Having now exhausted the hotel’s complaints process, I am escalating the matter to senior management within Precise Hotels in Berlin for further review. I sincerely hope the resort takes this opportunity to review its security arrangements to help prevent similar incidents affecting future guests.   Make sure you have documdmtation of your stay as when we arrived we were told we were booked in the week afterI found proof on my phone and they knew it was their fault and found room for usOur tee times all had to be changef to accommodate us and we were given afternoon tee times instead of our 11 am tee times No apologies and reception staff were very curt and we were made to feel it was our faultOther than that we enjoyef the holidayFood was good golf good and rooms nice All other staff very friendly Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Precise Resort El Rompido, responded to this review Dear Linda,Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.We are delighted that you enjoyed the culinary offerings and found your room comfortable.However, we sincerely regret the misunderstanding at check-in and that the activity scheduling did not meet your expectations.
