  Nice enough hotel. We had a lovely sea view. Mini fridge also available. Lots of choice for breakfast. Felt like we was only English there which was nice:) There is a train or ferry or bus if u want to visit Cadiz. Car park is 7 euros a night but u could park on the street or there is like beach on the right side of the hotel- look at google map:) We wouldn't go back to cadiz as all the restaurants was close in the day time. Only open from 8pm. And really not much to do there. Should have only stayed for 1 night. I thought the reception was bit dismissive. Didint see any beach chairs if u looking to sunbathe. And around the hotel it looks a bit like Spanish benidorm - just for info.   Misleading and Overpriced

  We booked the hotel mainly for its spa and indoor pool, especially since the name Hotel Porto Bahia & Spa suggests that these facilities are part of the experience. However, at check-in, the receptionist told us she didn’t know the pool hours because the spa wasn’t actually part of the hotel. This was disappointing and misleading.When we finally got to the spa, we were informed that it would cost €10 per hour, per person—an excessive fee for something that should be a complementary part of the stay, or at least clearly communicated in advance.We were also asked to provide a credit card as a guarantee at check-in, and I must ask the general manager to reflect on this: what exactly is this guarantee for, when the room contains nothing more than a dirty, empty minibar?To make matters worse, there was no room service menu provided. Overall, the customer service was poor, and the hotel seems to be missing out on simple opportunities to offer guests a better experience—and generate more revenue.   This is our 3rd visit to this hotel. We came April 24, July 24 and Oct 24.The hotel on the whole is great, they do a great breakfast, lots of choice and a good quality.I feel they could have done with some more staff during this visit, especially as the hotel had lots of groups booked in and it was Spainsh National Day. I'm sure there was only one person working at breakfast and the poor thing could not keep up with clearing tables by herself, we had a similar issue at the lobby bar, a very long wait for drinks and almost all the empty tables had not been cleared.That said, I am not knocking the staff, as they were so nice even though they were under alot of pressure!I would still come here again, as the pool is great, rooms are fine (maybe an upgrade of towels and a few more pillows is needed) but the recent refurbishment of the rooms shows and is very good and the location is second to none.   The hotel might well be comfortable, nice etc, but their customer relations is appalling if you try to make any changes. Intransigence in assisting you. You cannot contact them directly when booking and they do not respond to emails in a timely manner. Attempting to amend the Nikki g by one day, they were contacted but did not respond. Trying to cancel the original booking but they would not budge on the cancellation as it was done a day after the cancellation date, but this was only after they wouldn’t respond to the additional day booking request. Absolutely no response except through their booking agent. Have made sure all Co-workers are aware to avoid this hotel.Good luck if you need to amend anything and looking for a response.

  Good hotel in front of the ocean

  We stayed 2 nights on easter holidays. We were 4, 2 adults and 2 kids, and choosed a family room with ocean views. The room was quit big, with a big bad as well, two double beds, frigo, and one TV set.There was a balcony, although we couldn't enjoy because it was windy.The hotel has a spa, gym, and free parking. We use the gym, wich has many options, more than enough to make some exercise.The hotel is in front of the ocean, so the views are amazing. We have breakfast, wich was quite good with plenty of options to choose from, with eggs and bacon done in front of you. Probably the quality of some products could be better, but for the price and being a 3 star hotel we didn't have any complaint.
